Effect of cyclodextrins on coupling of o-ethoxybenzenediazonium salt with pyrrole, imidazole and 2-methylimidazole
PublicationBadano wpływ B-cyklodekstryny na reakcje sprzęgania soli o-etoksybenzenodiazoniowych z pirolem, imidazolem i 2-metyloimidazolem. Porównano wydajności produktów sprzęgania wyizolowanych w poszczególnych reakcjach. W przypadku reakcji z pirolem i imidazolem prowadzonych z udziałem cyklodekstryny zaobserwowano spadek wydajności produktów sprzęgania, podczas gdy w reakcji z 2-metyloimidazolem obecność cyklodekstryny stymulowała powstawanie...

The effect of chlorinated drinking water consumption on levels of volatile organohalogen compounds in urine.
Do wykonania oznaczeń zastosowano zmodyfikowaną technikę analizy fazy nadpowierzchniowej nad cienką warstwą cieczy z samoczynną generacją ciekłego sorbentu...

Effect of high pressure and sub-zero temperature on some gram-negative bacteria.

The Righi-Leduc effect: on evidence of two-band electronic structure in Nd1.86Ce0.14CuO4-y.
PublicationPrzedstawiono badania temperaturowe zależności oporu elektrycznego, efektu Halla (RH), przewodnictwa cieplnego (k) i współczynnika Righi-Leduc(SRL). Badania wykazały, że współczynnik RL> 0 w szerokim zakresie temperatur RH zmienia znak dwukrotnie w T=50 i 250K. Niezgodność znaków SRL i RH jednoznacznie wskazuje obecność w materiale nośników obu znaków tzn. n- i p- typu.

The effect of plate size on the natural convective heat transfer intensity of horizontal surfaces

Temperature effect on the current-voltage characteristic fill factor for the silicon solar cells

Effect of transregional transport of pollutants on atmospheric air quality in the Tricity area of Poland

The effect of groyne field on trapping macroplastic. Preliminary results from laboratory experiments
PublicationMacroplastic, a precursor of microplastic pollution, has become a new scope of research interest. However, the physical processes of macroplastic transport and deposition in rivers are poorly understood, which makes the decisions of where to locate macroplastic trapping infrastructure difficult. In this research, we conducted a series of experiments in a laboratory channel, exploring the impact of groynes and flexible artificial...

Comparison of Doppler Effect Estimation Methods for MFSK Transmission in Multipath Hydroacoustic Channel
PublicationUnderwater wireless communication remains a challenging topic, particularly for applications such as wreck penetration where multipath and Doppler effects are very intense. These effects are becoming even more difficult to mitigate for fast data transmission systems that utilize wideband signals. Due to the low propagation speed of acoustic wave in the water, there is a significant difference between the Doppler shift for lower...

Effect of Ethanol Extracts of Propolis (EEPs) against Staphylococcal Biofilm—Microscopic Studies
PublicationStaphylococci growing in the form of biofilm exhibit high resistance to a plethora of antibiotics. The aim of the study was to assess the influence of ethanolic extract of propolis (EEPs) on S. epidermidis ATCC 35984 biofilm using fluorescent microscopy. Propidium iodide (PI) and SYTO 9 were used for differentiation of live and dead cells, and calcofluor white was used to stain the extracellular matrix, the self-produced extracellular...

The Effect of Increasing the Amount of Indium Alloying Material on the Efficiency of Sacrificial Aluminium Anodes
PublicationAl-Zn-In alloys having 4.2% zinc content and various indium content in the range of 0.02–0.2% were tested with respect to the most important electrochemical properties of sacrificial anodes in a cathodic protection, i.e., the current capacity and potential of the operating anode. The distribution of In and Zn in the tested alloys was mapped by means of the EDX technique, which demonstrated that these elements dissolve well in the...

The interaction of the pulsed laser irradiation with titania nanotubes - Theoretical studies on the thermal effect
PublicationThis paper reports temperature dispersion simulations of titania nanotubes irradiated by the 355 nm, pulsed, nanosecond laser. The modelling with the use of Finite Elements Method concerns titania nanotubes of the length and the wall thickness in the range of 0.5–2 μm and 5–20 nm, respectively. The uniqueness of the morphology was preserved by ensuring the wall thickness variation along the height of the tube, which was determined...
