Data obtained by computation for X-ray imaging of grating with magnification factor equal 8 using oriented Gaussian beams
Open Research DataThe propagation of X-ray waves through an optical system consisting of grating and X-ray refractive lenses is considered. In this approach, the propagating wave is represented as a superposition of the oriented Gaussian beams. The direction of wave propagation in each Gaussian beam is consistent with the local propagation direction of the X-ray wavefront.

Simulation of a linear pneumatic actuator with 100 mm piston diameter, 25 mm piston rod diameter and 100 mm stroke
Open Research DataThe aim of the simulation was to determine the dynamics of linear pneumatic actuators with different sizes and flow properties. The simulation used the actuator dynamics model as described in [1] and the St Venant - Wantzel's mass flow rate model. The simulation experiment was to calculate the pressure changes in both chambers of the actuator as well...

Toward Mechanosynthesis of Diamondoid Structures: X. Commercial Capped CNT SPM Tip as Nowadays Available C2 Dimer Placement Tool for Tip-Based Nanofabrication
PublicationAccording to Drexler, advanced mechanosynthesis will employ advanced nano-machines, but advanced nano-machines will themselves be products of advanced mechanosynthesis. This circular relationship must be broken via TBN technology development. In this article, the possibility of using easily available commercial CNT tips to assemble carbon-based intermediate generations of nano-devices is considered. Mechanosynthesis of a target...

Influence of Antimony Substitution on Spontaneous Strain and Thermodynamic Stability of Lanthanum Orthoniobate
PublicationThe analysis of the antimony substitution influence on temperature dependence of unit cell distortion has been done. The values of spontaneous strain and Landau order parameter for three different antimony contents varied had been calculated. The phase transition occurring for antimony substituted lanthanum orthoniobate was found to be second order. The high temperature solution calorimetry method has been used to investigate...

Core-Shell Nanoparticles with Hyperbranched Poly(arylene-oxindole) Interiors
PublicationCore-shell type star polymers composed of poly(tert-butyl acrylate) (poly(t-BuA)) arms and 100% hyperbranched poly(arylene-oxindole) interiors were synthesized via the "core-first" method. Atom transfer radical polymerization of t-BuA initiated by 2-bromopropionyl terminal groups of the hyperbranched core was applied for the synthesis of the stars. The resultant star structures were characterized by gel permeation chromatography...

High temperature corrosion resistance of porous hastelloy alloy
PublicationTo further understand the suitability of Ni-Cr-base alloy for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), a commercial Ni-Cr-Fe-Mo alloy, Hastelloy X was selected and evaluated for oxidation behaviour under high temperature conditions. HastelloyX was chosen due to its unusual resistance to oxidizing, reducing and neutral atmospheres. For long term stability of metal supported fuel cell, the corrosion resistance plays a vital role and must be...
