Mountain pass type periodic solutions for Euler–Lagrange equations in anisotropic Orlicz–Sobolev space
PublicationUsing the Mountain Pass Theorem, we establish the existence of periodic solution for Euler–Lagrange equation. Lagrangian consists of kinetic part (an anisotropic G-function), potential part and a forcing term. We consider two situations: G satisfying at infinity and globally. We give conditions on the growth of the potential near zero for both situations.

The effectivness of fault detection in common rail injectors examination methods
PublicationThe article presents the effectiveness tests of fault detection in common rail injectors. 40 injectors with different wear levels were tested. Testing was made on two test benches of a completely different design. Research includes comparison of accuracy, reproducibility and testability to detect specific defects. A device was created for visualization of the fuel injector spraying steam.

Survival time prognosis under a Markov model of cancer development
PublicationIn this study we look at a breast cancer data set of women from Pomerania region collected in year 1987-1992 in the Medical University of Gdańsk. We analyze the clinical risk factors in conjunction with Markov model of cancer development. We evaluate Artificial Neural Network (ANN) survival time prediction via a simulation study.
