Orthotropic membrane as a mechanical model of surgical implant in abdominal hernia repair
PublicationEven though the incisional hernia repair surgery is a well known procedure, mechanical properties of the tissue-implant system are unknown so the implantation of the repairing mesh is quite intuitive and, recurrences of the illness still take place. The main objective of the study is to define an operated hernia model that can be used for surgery planning and the assessment of the repair persistence. The load applied to the structure...

Interaction of amphotericin B with phospholipids in the model membrane - molecular dynamics study.
PublicationAmfoterycyna B jest antybiotykiem używanym w leczeniu układowych infekcji grzybowych. Jej mechanizm działania polega na tworzeniu kanałów wewnątrz błon lipidowych. W przedstawianej pracy publikowane są wyniki symulacji przeprowadzonej dynamiką molekularną monomerycznej i dimerycznej formy antybiotyku wewnątrz błony lipidowej zbudowanej z cząsteczek DMPC. Wyniki te wskazują, że powinowactwo cząsteczek amfoterycyny wewnątrz dimeru...

A new Apporoach to the Spectral Analysis of Liquid Membrane Oscillators by Gabor Transformation
Analizę tę zastosowano do oscylatorów z membraną ciekłą, zawierających kationowy surfaktant. Stwierdzono, że obecnośc róznych dodanych substancji do wodnej fazy akceptorowej wpływa...

On the possibility of using liquid or lipid - polymer membrane systems as taste sensors
