Research on the phenomena of warming up and free cooling down the car engine
PublikacjaThe average cold start temperature in Europe is 9 degrees C. However, not the average is the most important for the composition of exhaust gases and associated air pollution. The most onerous for the environment are the winter starts when automotive emissions of harmful gases add up in cities with those of home heating systems. The paper presents preliminary studies of warming up and cooling down processes in various environmental conditions....

Thermal and hydraulic phenomena in boundary layer of minijets impingement on curved surfaces
PublikacjaPresented work considers flow and thermal phenomena occurring during the single minijet impingement on curved surfaces, heated with a constant heat flux, as well as the array of minijets. Numerical analyses, based on the mass, momentum and energy conservation laws, were conducted, regarding single phase and two-phase simulations. Focus was placed on the proper model construction, in which turbulence and boundary layer modeling...

Shear band evolution phenomena in direct shear test modelled with DEM.
PublikacjaA direct shear test is widely used in the geotechnical engineering field. It is an easy and quick test to measure the shear properties of soil. This test often replaces more expensive and difficult tri-axial shear test. Despite that the direct shear test is known and used for a long time, it is still not well investigated at the grain scale. This paper deals with the micro behaviour of the cohesionless sand inside the direct shear...

Wykrywanie on-line anomalii w odebranym sygnale PSK za pomocą zespolonej pulsacji chwilowej
PublikacjaJednym z głównych problemów w analizie sygnałów PSK (ang. Phase Shift Keying) jest wykrywanie anomalii występujących w sygnale odebranym. Większość urządzeń stosowanych do analizy sygnałów PSK (np. oscyloskopy cyfrowe, analizatory widma) w celu wykrycia anomalii wykorzystuje algorytm EVM (ang. Error Vector Magnitude) w którym bada się, on-line, różnicę między konstelacją PSK, a skupieniami odebranych symboli zespolonych. W związku...
