Microjet technology as a perspective intensification method for high performance heat exchangers
PublicationIn the paper two oryginal designs of compact heat exchangers with intensification effect produced by microjets are presented. The technology of microjets manufacturing is an "inhouse" patented design. The idea of such heat exchanger is shown together with the flow and thermal characteristics of the prototypes. The results of performer measurements are satisfactory and encourage for further research of the original designs.

Ground anchors diagnostic process based on elastic wave propagation method
PublicationThe paper is focused on analysis of elastic wave propagation in the context of diagnostics of ground anchors. Numerical simulations were performed to assess the possibility of evaluation of the anchorage quality. It was assumed that the quality and the load capacity of the anchor system directly depend on the length, on which mortar and steel cooperate.

Asymptotic Expansion Method with Respect to Small Parameter for Ternary Diffusion Models
PublicationTernary diffusion models lead to strongly coupled systems of PDEs. We choose the smallest diffusion coefficient as a small parameter in a power series expansion whose components fulfill relatively simple equations. Although this series is divergent, one can use its finite sums to derive feasible numerical approximations, e.g. finite difference methods (FDMs).
