Jednakże w dziedzinie organicznych powłok ochronnych czynnik ten pozostaje niedoceniany. W pracy dokonano porównania wpływu cyklicznych naprężeń mechanicznych na nowe i pre-eksponowane (w podwyższonej temperaturze lub promieniowaniu UV) powłoki epoksydowe.
