State equations in the mathematical model of dynamic behaviour of multihull floating unit

Investigation of behaviour of metal structures with polymer dampers under dynamic loads
PublicationA large number of accidents concerning structures subjected to dynamic loads have been recently observed. One of the examples of such a structure is a temporary steel grandstand erected using scaffolding system. Dynamic load that is generated by crowd movement has a significant influence on the behaviour of the structure and may lead to excessive structural vibrations. The aim of the study is to consider the idea of using polymer...

DYNAMIC MECHANICAL BEHAVIOUR OF GFRP COMPOSITES WITH SiO2 NANO PARTICLES REINFORCED EPOXY MATRIX
PublicationDynamic mechanic (DMA) tests were performed to compare the mechanical behaviour of glass fibre reinforced epoxy laminate composites with SiO2 nanoparticle reinforced matrix. The selection of the most promising nanoparticle concentrations was considered in terms of elastic modulus and glass transition temperature. The reference specimens (0% nanoparticles) did not contain diluent accordingly the results do not allow the exact comparison...

Computational simulations of concrete behaviour under dynamic conditions using elasto-visco-plastic model with non-local softening.
PublicationW artykule przedstawiono wyniki obliczeniowych symulacji zachowania betonu w warunkach dynamicznych stosując sprężysto-lepko-plastyczny model z nielokalnym osłabieniem. Wykonano obliczenia dla ściskania jednoosiowego, rozciągania jednoosiowego i zginania. Dla dużych prędkości obciążenia uwzględniono fragmentację materiału. Wyniki porównano z doswiadczeniami.

Influence of gas turbine controller adjustment on propulsion system behaviour in high sea conditions. Part 1. The dynamic model of propulsion system.
Zbudowano...

Influence of adjustment of gas turbine controller on ship propulsion system behaviour in rough sea conditions. Part 1. The dynamic model of propulsion system.

Experimental study on static and dynamic properties of polymer mass
PublicationA new method of repairing damaged structures by filling the cracks with a specially prepared polymer mass has been recently proposed. This new and innovative technique, known as the Flexible Joint Method (FJM), is mainly dedicated to masonries and historical objects, where minimum intervention is permitted. The flexible joint bonds the disrupted elements and ensures further safe exploitation of a damaged structure. The aim of the...

Differential analysis of dynamic immittance spectra
PublicationThis work presents a new approach to the analysis of immittance spectrograms of systems characterised by non-stationarity. The possibility of linking the evolution of the immittance response with changes in the parameters describing the system is achieved by introducing a spectrum in differential form. By using the above procedure, it becomes possible to separate elements with a dependence (or lack thereof) from an independent...

Dynamic soil improvement by hybrid technologies
PublicationHybrid method of subsoil improvement for road embankment foundation is described. This method is composed of two wellknown methods: dynamic replacement (DR) and microblasting (DDC) one (Deep Dynamic Compaction). The method was used for both the strengthening of the fully saturated organic subsoil as well as for acceleration of the consolidation of the organic layers. The practice ensures the expected results. A proper example on...

Load testing of a suspended footbridge in Radom (Poland)
PublicationThe footbridge in Radom is a suspended bridge of an interesting architectural form. The structure was de-signed for 4 kN/m2 of crowd loading. Dynamic calculations were not included in the design. The structure’s acceptance tests took place on the 14th of October 2016. The behaviour of the footbridge in static testing met the expectations. Unfortunately, as a result of dynamic tests, dangerous behaviour of the footbridge was revealed....
