  • Face Profile View Retrieval Using Time of Flight Camera Image Analysis

    Publikacja

Method for profile view retrieving of the human face is presented. The depth data from the 3D camera is taken as an input. The preprocessing is, besides of standard filtration, extended by the process of filling of the holes which are present in depth data. The keypoints, defined as the nose tip and the chin are detected in user’s face and tracked. The Kalman filtering is applied to smooth the coordinates of those points which...

  • Multi-Camera Vehicle Tracking Using Local Image Features and Neural Networks

    Publikacja

    - Rok 2012

A method for tracking moving objects crossing fields of view of multiple cameras is presented. The algorithm utilizes Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs). Each ANN is trained to recognize images of one moving object acquired by a single camera. Local image features calculated in the vicinity of automatically detected interest points are used as object image parameters. Next, ANNs are employed to identify the same objects captured...

  • Objects classification based on their physical sizes for detection of events in camera images

    Publikacja

In the paper, a method of estimation of the physical sizes of the objects tracked in the video surveillance system, and a simple module for object classification based on the estimated physical sizes, are presented. The results of object classification are then used for automatic detection of various types of events in the camera image.

  • Methodology for the Correction of the Spatial Orientation Angles of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Using Real Time GNSS, a Shoreline Image and an Electronic Navigational Chart

    Publikacja

    - ENERGIES - Rok 2021

Undoubtedly, Low-Altitude Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are becoming more common in marine applications. Equipped with a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) receiver for highly accurate positioning, they perform camera and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) measurements. Unfortunately, these measurements may still be subject to large errors-mainly due to the inaccuracy of measurement of the optical...

  • Camera Orientation-Independent Parking Events Detection

    Publikacja

The paper describes the method for detecting precise position and time of vehicles parking in a parking lot. This task is trivial in case of favorable camera orientation but gets much more complex when an angle between the camera viewing axis and the ground is small. The method utilizes background subtraction and object tracking algorithms for detecting moving objects in a video stream. Objects are classified into vehicles and...

  • Eye Blink Based Detection of Liveness in Biometric Authentication Systems Using Conditional Random Fields

    Publikacja

    - Rok 2012

The goal of this paper was to verify whether the conditional random fields are suitable and enough efficient for eye blink detection in user authentication systems based on face recognition with a standard web camera. To evaluate this approach several experiments were carried on using a specially developed test application and video database.

  • Mining inconsistent emotion recognition results with the multidimensional model

    Publikacja

    - IEEE Access - Rok 2021

The paper deals with the challenge of inconsistency in multichannel emotion recognition. The focus of the paper is to explore factors that might influence the inconsistency. The paper reports an experiment that used multi-camera facial expression analysis with multiple recognition systems. The data were analyzed using a multidimensional approach and data mining techniques. The study allowed us to explore camera location, occlusions...

  • Multimodal Surveillance Based Personal Protection System

A novel, multimodal approach for automatic detection of abduction of a protected individual, employing dedicated personal protection device and a city monitoring system is proposed and overviewed. The solution is based on combining four modalities (signals coming from: Bluetooth, fixed and PTZ cameras, thermal camera, acoustic sensors). The Bluetooth signal is used continuously to monitor the protected person presence, and in case...

  • The Hough transform in the classification process of inland ships

    Publikacja

This article presents an analysis of the possibilities of using image processing methods for feature extraction that allows kNN classification based on a ship’s image delivered from an on-water video surveillance system. The subject of the analysis is the Hough transform which enables the detection of straight lines in an image. The recognized straight lines and the information about them serve as features in the classification...
