Design of synchronous generator voltage regulator based on h control theory
PublikacjaThe power system is highly nonlinear system, which dynamics depends on system network configuration, system loading…etc. To overcome the above mentioned difficulties and to fulfill the performance requirements the different control methods are considered and tested for application to generating control unit. Application of the H optimization method to automatic voltage regulator is studied in this paper. Simulation results have...

Convergence of expansions in Schrödinger and Dirac eigenfunctions, with an application to the R-matrix theory

Design of synchronous generator voltage regulator based on H control theory

What Can Be Observed Locally? Round based models for quantum distributed computing

Density functional theory calculations on entire proteins for free energies of binding: Application to a model polar binding site
PublikacjaIn drug optimization calculations, the molecular mechanics Poisson-Boltzmann surface area (MM-PBSA) method can be used to compute free energies of binding of ligands to proteins. The method involves the evaluation of the energy of configurations in an implicit solvent model. One source of errors is the force field used, which can potentially lead to large errors due to the restrictions in accuracy imposed by its empirical nature....

The influences of the information and communication technology on the structural changes of Japanese energy sectors from 1985 through 2005: a statistical analysis
PublikacjaThe purpose of this study is to analyse the influences of information and communication technology (ICT) on the structural changes of Japanese energy sectors from 1985-2005. In this study, ICT is represented by two explanatory variables, namely: 1) computers, main parts and accessories; 2) telecommunications equipment. We employ a statistical tool in investigating the influences quantitatively, namely constrained multivariate regression...

Information and communication technologies versus diffusion and substitution of financial innovations. The case of exchange-traded funds in Japan and South Korea
PublikacjaThe substitution between financial innovations, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and stock index derivatives (i.e. index financial instruments) is one of the relatively understudied topics of the financial sciences. The current study aims to verify empirically the diffusion and substitution of ETFs in the market for index financial instruments. It presents in-depth analysis of the development of index financial instruments traded...

Enhancing women’s engagement in economic activities through information and communication technology deployment: evidence from Central–Eastern European countries
PublikacjaThis study takes a macro perspective to examine the associations between the economic deployment of information and communication technology (ICT), women’s labor market participation, and economic growth in Central–Eastern European countries between 1990 and 2017. We use data extracted from World Bank Development Indicators, World Development Reports, and the World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Database. Our methodological framework...

Hydrogen Production Mechanism in Low-Temperature Methanol Decomposition Catalyzed by Ni3Sn4 Intermetallic Compound: A Combined Operando and Density Functional Theory Investigation
PublikacjaHydrogen production from methanol decomposition to syngas (H2 + CO) is a promising alternative route for clean energy transition. One major challenge is related to the quest for stable, cost-effective, and selective catalysts operating below 400 °C. We illustrate an investigation of the surface reactivity of a Ni3Sn4 catalyst working at 250 °C, by combining density functional theory, operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and high-resolution...

Exploring Relationships Between Data in Enterprise Information Systems by Analysis of Log Contents
PublikacjaEnterprise systems are inherently complex and maintaining their full, up-to-date overview poses a serious challenge to the enterprise architects’ teams. This problem encourages the search for automated means of discovering knowledge about such systems. An important aspect of this knowledge is understanding the data that are processed by applications and their relationships. In our previous work, we used application logs of an enterprise...

A coupled constitutive model for fracture in plain concrete based on continuum theory with non-local softening and eXtended Finite Element Method
PublikacjaThe paper presents a constitutive model for concrete which combines a continuous and discontinuous fracture description. In a continuum regime, two different constitutive laws were used. First, a plasticity model with a Rankine failure criterion and an associated fl ow rule was used. Second, a constitutive law based on isotropic damage mechanics was formulated. In order to capture the width of a localized zone and to obtain mesh-independent...

Application of theory of semi-Markov processes to determining distribution of probabilistic process of marine accidents resulting from colission of ships
PublikacjaIn this paper is presented possible application of the theory of semi-Markov processes to elaborating an eight-state model of the process of occurrence of serviceability state and unserviceability states of sea-going ships making critical manoeuvres during their entering and leaving the ports. In the analysis it was taken into account that sea-going ships are in service for a very long time t (t → ∞). The model was elaborated to...
