Heterogeniczne sieci bezprzewodowe - wybrane problemy funkcjonowania
PublikacjaW artykule została przedstawiona koncepcja hierarchicznej struktury bezprzewodowej sieci heterogenicznej.

Development and validation of a GC–MS/MS method for the determination of 11 amphetamines and 34 synthetic cathinones in whole blood
PublikacjaPurpose Psychoactive compounds that contain a phenylethylamine structure (such as amphetamine-type stimulants and synthetic cathinones) are one of the major classes of stimulants on the recreational drug market. Approximately 670 new psychoactive substances (NPS) are monitored only in Europe; however, new psychoactive compounds are being developed for illicit trade each year. In this context, the development of new analytical procedures...

Development and validation of a method for the simultaneous analysis of fatty acid ethyl esters, ethyl sulfate and ethyl glucuronide in neonatal meconium: application in two cases of alcohol consumption during pregnancy
PublikacjaAlcohol consumption during pregnancy constitutes one of the leading preventable causes of birth defects and neurodevelopmental disorders in the exposed children. Fatty acid ethyl esters (FAEEs), ethyl glucuronide (EtG) and ethyl sulfate (EtS) have been studied as potential biomarkers of alcohol consumption. However, most analytical approaches proposed for their analysis in meconium samples consist of separated extraction procedures...

Quantification of unconjugated and total ibuprofen and its metabolites in equine urine samples by gas chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry: Application to the excretion study
PublikacjaIbuprofen (IBU) is a widely used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) in human and also veterinary medicine. NSAIDs are usually highly metabolized compounds in horses; they are often present in equine urine, mostly in their conjugated forms (glucuronides). Thus, hydrolysis to cleave the glucuronide linkage prior to anti-doping analysis is often necessary for improving detection. In this study, unconjugated and total IBU...

A review of methods of blood supply to organs of the gastrointestinal tract. State of art
PublikacjaThe correct assessment of blood supply is essential to eliminate possible postoperative complications. Re-anastomosis of the gastrointestinal tract after its resection must be preceded by the analysis of blood supply to the anastomosed fragments. It is important that the blood supply assessment procedure is reliable but also non-absorbing and, if possible, short. It should also be possible to repeat the procedure due to the need...

Creating a radiological database for automatic liver segmentation using artificial intelligence.
PublikacjaImaging in medicine is an irreplaceable stage in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The subsequent therapeutic effect depends on the quality of the imaging tests performed. In recent years we have been observing the evolution of 2D to 3D imaging for many medical fields, including oncological surgery. The aim of the study is to present a method of selection of radiological imaging tests for learning neural networks.

Receptor for advanced glycation end‐products: Biological significance and imaging applications
PublikacjaThe receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE or AGER) is a transmembrane, immunoglobulin-like receptor that, due to its multiple isoform structures, binds to a diverse range of endo- and exogenous ligands. RAGE activation caused by the ligand binding initiates a cascade of complex pathways associated with producing free radicals, such as reactive nitric oxide and oxygen species, cell proliferation, and immunoinflammatory...

Why is IPv6 Deployment Important for the Internet Evolution?
PublikacjaAbstract-Replacing the IPv4 protocol with IPv6 on the Internet is currently one of the aims of the European Union policy. The main reason for this replacement is the effeteness of the addresses pool in the IPv4 protocol, which can cause serious complications in the evolution of the Internet and its adaptation in new areas, e.g., in next generation mobile telephony or the so called Internet of Things. Simultaneously, the addressing...

Influence of Diosmin Treatment on the Level of Oxidative Stress Markers in Patients with Chronic Venous Insufficiency
PublikacjaOxidative stress plays an important role in the pathophysiology of many human disorders, while antioxidants prevent the development of various adverse symptoms. Diosmin is a natural flavonoid applied in vascular system disorders, especially in chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), and it plays a significant part in the alleviation of CVI symptoms. Due to antioxidant activity, it also has the ability to scavenge the oxygen free radicals...
