Nitrate and nitrite silver complexes with weakly coordinating nitriles
PublikacjaSimple system of weak nitrile ligands and silver nitrite/nitrate allowed the formation and isolation of coordination compounds of diverse nuclearity and dimensionality. The extension of the network does not enhance the luminescent properties of the ligands however it gives rise to the new MLCT bands in the visible region.

Transmission protocol simulation framework for the resource-constrained sensor network
PublikacjaIn this paper the simulation framework for simulation of the sensor network protocol is presented. The framework enables the simultaneous development of the sensor network software and the protocol for the wireless data transmission. The advantage of using the framework is the convergence of the simulation with the real software, because the same software is used in real sensor network nodes and in the simulation framework. The...

Realistic noise-tolerant randomness amplification using finite number of devices
PublikacjaRandomness is a fundamental concept, with implications from security of modern data systems, to fundamental laws of nature and even the philosophy of science. Randomness is called certified if it describes events that cannot be pre-determined by an external adversary. It is known that weak certified randomness can be amplified to nearly ideal randomness using quantum-mechanical systems. However, so far, it was unclear whether randomness amplification...

PublikacjaProviding mobility in access networks is a challenge that we have to deal with. Due to networks’ convergence and migration to all-IP networks, mobility management at the network layer is required. However, there is a need for cooperation mechanisms between the network layer and lower layers to support multimedia services and make handover more efficient. This paper presents experimental research on simultaneous handover performance...

[B.m.]: New Medias**2002 [4 s. 3 rys. bibliogr. 6 poz.] Page numbers in the proceedings: Volume 3, s. 135-138. Zwiększanie dokładności estymacji częstotliwości poprzez decymację.
PublikacjaArtykuł rozważa problem estymacji częstotliwości zaszumionego, sinusoidalne-go sygnału zespolonego.

We estimate from below the number of fixed points of the iterates of f , reduce Shub’s conjecture for longitudinal maps to a lower dimensional classical version, and prove the conjecture in case m = 2 and in a weak form for m = 3.

<i>N,N</i>'-diphenylthiourea acetone monosolvate
PublikacjaIn the title compound, C13H12N2S·C3H6O, the phenyl rings of the thiourea molecule are in syn and anti positions in relation to the C=S bond. Two molecules are connected by N-HS=C hydrogen bonds into a centrosymmetric dimer. An additional N-HO=C hydrogen bond to the acetone solvent molecule and some weak C-H interactions reinforce the crystal structure.

The algorithm belongs to the class of feedback controllers and, unlike the popular feedforward FX-LMS approach, does not require availability of a reference signal. The proposed approach draws its inspiration from the iterative learning control...

New hybrid quadrature schemes for weakly singular kernels applied to isogeometric boundary elements for 3D Stokes flow
PublikacjaThis work proposes four novel hybrid quadrature schemes for the efficient and accurate evaluation of weakly singular boundary integrals (1/r kernel) on arbitrary smooth surfaces. Such integrals appear in boundary element analysis for several partial differential equations including the Stokes equation for viscous flow and the Helmholtz equation for acoustics. The proposed quadrature schemes apply a Duffy transform-based quadrature...

Effect of pulse laser treatment at different process variables on mechanical behavior of carbon nanotubes electrophoretically deposited on titanium alloy
PublikacjaPurpose: Titanium and its alloys are widely used as biomaterials for long-term implants, but they are usually surface-modified due to their weak bioactivity and wear resistance. Laser processing was used to modify the surface layer, and elemental carbon was a component of the deposited coatings. This research aims to use a combination of both methods based on preliminary electrophoretic deposition of multi-wall carbon nanotubes...

Asymptotic properties of quadratic stochastic operators acting on the L1 space
PublikacjaQuadratic stochastic operators can exhibit a wide variety of asymptotic behaviours and these have been introduced and studied recently in the ℓ1 space. It turns out that in principle most of the results can be carried over to the L1 space. However, due to topological properties of this space one has to restrict in some situations to kernel quadratic stochastic operators. In this article we study the uniform and strong asymptotic...
