Remote Stateful Autoconfiguration for Mobile IPv6 Nodes with Server Side Duplicate Address Detection
PublicationDuring interdomain handover, IPv6 node requires new address at its new location. Once the L2 handover procedure is completed, mobile node (MN) starts its IPv6 configuration, using stateless (router advertisements) or stateful (DHCPv6 communication) mode. Once the address is obtained, its uniqueness has to be verified, using Duplicate Address Detection (DAD) procedure. Depending on the interface type, this procedure may easily take...

Identification of Shift in Sowing and Harvesting Dates of Rice Crop (L. Oryza sativa) through Remote Sensing Techniques: A Case Study of Larkana District
PublicationThe present study aimed to determine the impact of climate variability on rice crops in terms of sowing and harvesting dates and crop period. The identification of sowing and harvesting dates were spotted by mask identification, variations in land surface temperature (LST) on a temporal scale in the respective months, and a field-level social inquiry. The study was conducted during a time period (1994–2017), in which geo-referenced...

Bringing Bathymetry LiDAR to Coastal Zone Assessment: A Case Study in the Southern Baltic
PublicationOne of the major tasks in environmental protection is monitoring the coast for negative impacts due to climate change and anthropopressure. Remote sensing techniques are often used in studies of impact assessment. Topographic and bathymetric procedures are treated as separate measurement methods, while methods that combine coastal zone analysis with underwater impacts are rarely used in geotechnical analyses. This study presents...

A Reduction Method for Bathymetric Datasets that Preserves True Coastal Water Geodata
PublicationWater areas occupy over 70 percent of the Earth’s surface and are constantly subject to research and analysis. Often, hydrographic remote sensors are used for such research, which allow for the collection of information on the shape of the water area bottom and the objects located on it. Information about the quality and reliability of the depth data is important, especially during coastal modelling. In-shore areas are liable...

Increasing the Geometrical and Interpretation Quality of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Photogrammetry Products Using Super-Resolution Algorithms
PublicationUnmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have now become very popular in photogrammetric and remote-sensing applications. Every day, these vehicles are used in new applications, new terrains, and new tasks, facing new problems. One of these problems is connected with flight altitude and the determined ground sample distance in a specific area, especially within cities and industrial and construction areas. The problem is that a safe flight...

Spatiotemporal Assessment of Satellite Image Time Series for Land Cover Classification Using Deep Learning Techniques: A Case Study of Reunion Island, France
PublicationCurrent Earth observation systems generate massive amounts of satellite image time series to keep track of geographical areas over time to monitor and identify environmental and climate change. Efficiently analyzing such data remains an unresolved issue in remote sensing. In classifying land cover, utilizing SITS rather than one image might benefit differentiating across classes because of their varied temporal patterns. The aim...

FE-simulations of a direct and a true simple shear test
PublicationPorównano dwa aparaty ścinania: aparat bezpośredniego ścinania i aparat prostego ścinania. Analizy pola naprężeń i odkształceń dokonano stosując metodę elementów skończonych i mikropolarne prawo hypoplastyczne. Analiza ta pokazała, że pole naprężeń i odkształceń jest niejednorodne w obu aparatach, szczególnie w aparacie bezpośredniego ścinania.
