PublikacjaZbadano wpływ soków z kapusty oraz występujących w nich pochodnych indolowych i sulforafanu na poziom ekspresji enzymów odpowiedzialnych za metabolizm ksenobiotyków w tym estrogenów. Wykazano, że soki z kapusty i izolowane substancje mają podobny wpływ na poziom mRNA i białek enzymatycznych.

Determination of buckling strength of silos composed of corrugated walls and thin-walled-columns using simplified wall segment models
PublikacjaW artykule przedstawiono wyniki obszernych analiz numerycznych wyboczenia i stateczności metalowych silosów z blachy falistej wzmocnionych cienkościennymi słupami. Wykonano analizy liniowe i nieliniowe. Do obliczeń zaproponowano proste modele segmentów ścian zamiast skomplikowanych modeli całych silosów. Otrzymano bardzo dobrą zgodność wyników numerycznych. Wyniki obliczeń numerycznych porównano dodatkowo z wynikami normowymi.

Comparative analysis of the theoretical models of ideal propulsor, ideal fluid brake, ideal screw propeller and ideal axial wind turbine
PublikacjaThe article presents a detailed discussion of four different fluid dynamics devices.These devices are presented with all relevant mathematical formulae regarding the forces, the power and the efficiency. It is demonstrated that application of the Betz theorem to axial wind turbines is not correct and it underestimates the maximujm achievable efficiency. This conclusion is supported by numerical calculations.

Badane związki wykazują w porównaniu z referencyjnymi cytostatykami DX, MIT niższe wartości indeksu RI, a także niższe aktywności cytotoksyczne.

PublikacjaZsyntezowano serię pochodnych pirydazonu z jednym lub dwoma łańcuchami bocznymi w różnych pozycjach chromoforu tetracyklicznego. Związki wykazały aktywność cytoksyczną na mysią białaczkę L1210 i ludzką k562 oraz na linii komórkowej oporności krzyżowej MDR (k562/DX). Dwa najbardziej aktywne związki przetestowano in vivo na mysiej białaczce P388. Wykazały one aktywność przeciwnowotworową porównywalną z aktywnością Mitoxantronu.
