Distance paired domination numbers of graphs

Dissociative electron attachment and anion-induced dimerization in pyruvic acid
PublikacjaWe report partial cross sections for the dissociative electron attachment to pyruvic acid. A rich fragmentation dynamics is observed. Electronic structure calculations facilitate the identification of complex rearrangement reactions that occur during the dissociation. Furthermore, a number of fragment anions produced at electron energies close to 0 eV are observed, that cannot originate from single electron-molecule collisions....

Dissociation of 2-oxopropanoic acid by low energy electrons
PublikacjaElectron attachment to molecular target can lead to a variety of negative fragment ions. We experimentally probe the main dissociative electron attachment (DEA) channels in 2-oxopropanoic acid (CH3 - CO - COOH) - an important trace component in the Earth's atmosphere. In our studies we utilise nearly mono-energetic electrons at electron energies from 0 eV up to 15 eV.

Curves of thermodynamic states in some fluids with dispersion
Publikacjavariations in the thermodynamic state of a dispersive medium, caused by sound, are studied. A bubbly liquid and a Maxwell fluid are considered as examples. Curves in the plane of thermodynamic states are plotted. They are in fact pictorial images of linear relations of excess pressure and excess density in the acoustic wave which reflect irreversible attenuation of the sound energy. The curves account for the nonlinear generation...

Determination of Mechanical Energy Loss in Steady Flow by Means of Dissipation Power
PublikacjaWhen systems of simple geometry like pipes or regular channels are considered, the mechan- ical energy loss of the fluid flow can be expressed by local and longitudinal empirical energy loss coefficients. However, in the case of large spatially distributed objects, there are no simple approaches to this task. In practice, general recommendations addressing different types of objects are used, but they usually provide very coarse...

Disinfection characteristics of an advanced rotational hydrodynamic cavitation reactor in pilot scale
PublikacjaHydrodynamic cavitation is a promising technique for water disinfection. In the present paper, the disinfection characteristics of an advanced hydrodynamic cavitation reactor (ARHCR) in pilot scale were studied. The effects of various flow rates (1.4–2.6 m3/h) and rotational speeds (2600–4200 rpm) on the removal of Escherichia coli (E. coli) were revealed and analyzed. The variation regularities of the log reduction and reaction...

Dielectric Barrier Discharge Systems with HV Generators and Discharge Chambers for Surface Treatment and Decontamination of Organic Products
PublikacjaThe article presents applications of systems with power electronic converters, high voltage transformers, and discharge chambers used for nonthermal, dielectric barrier discharge plasma treatment of a plastic surface and decontamination of organic loose products. In these installations, the inductance of the high voltage transformers and the capacitances of the electrode sets form resonant circuits that are excited by inverters....

Distinct hippocampal-prefrontal neural assemblies coordinate memory encoding, maintenance, and recall
PublikacjaShort-term memory enables incorporation of recent experience into subsequent decision-making. This processing recruits both the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus, where neurons encode task cues, rules, and outcomes. However, precisely which information is carried when, and by which neurons, remains unclear. Using population decoding of activity in rat medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and dorsal hippocampal CA1, we confirm that mPFC...

Towards high quality ITO coatings: the impact of nitrogen admixture in HiPIMS discharges
PublikacjaThe paper reports controlled deposition of optically transparent and electrically conductive ITO films prepared by a combination of rf (13.56 MHz) and High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HiPIMS) systems without any post deposition thermal treatment/annealing. It is shown that (i) reactive admixture of N2 gas to the process and (ii) pressure in the deposition chamber enable to optimize optical properties of ITO films. Furthermore,...

Electrostatic interface recombination in the system of disordered materials characterized by different permittivities
PublikacjaWe report on the analysis of an electrostatic interface recombination in a system consisting of disordered organic materials. This process is a consequence of the polarization effect which takes place at the interface of two phases characterized by different permittivities. In this paper, the impact of tail and deep localized states on the recombination order is demonstrated. We also discuss the influence of temperature on this...

Stochastic equivalence scales in log-normal distributions of expenditures
PublikacjaIn the paper, the properties of the stochastic equivalence scales (SES) are analysed when expenditure distributions are log-normal. The SES provides the equivalent distribution of expenditures when the population of households is heterogeneous with respect to such attributes as household size, demographic cpmposition, etc. For log-normal expenditure distributions, the non-parametric SES deflators are proportional to the ration...

Experimental study of the multi-disc negative brake for a hydraulic motor
PublikacjaThis paper describes the methodology for experimental testing of a multi-disc brake. The construction of this brake was also present. The brake is dedicated to hydraulic motors with a small working volume. Experimental tests were carried out on a brake with plates immersed in oil and, for comparison, tests were carried out on a dry brake. As a result of the tests, the permissible torque (load) that is able to transfer the brake...

TOWARDS EXPLAINABLE CLASSIFIERS USING THE COUNTERFACTUAL APPROACH - GLOBAL EXPLANATIONS FOR DISCOVERING BIAS IN DATA
PublikacjaThe paper proposes summarized attribution-based post-hoc explanations for the detection and identification of bias in data. A global explanation is proposed, and a step-by-step framework on how to detect and test bias is introduced. Since removing unwanted bias is often a complicated and tremendous task, it is automatically inserted, instead. Then, the bias is evaluated with the proposed counterfactual approach. The obtained results...

As far as geospatial data is concerned, one of the major sources of Big data are Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) scanners, which produce high resolution three-dimensional data on a local scale. The...

Hierarchical dissolved oxygen control for activated sludge processes
PublikacjaA hierarchical controller for tracking the dissolved oxygen reference trajectory in activated sludge processes is proposed and investigated. The removal of nitrogen and phosphorous from wastewater is considered. Typically, an aeration system itself is a complicated hybrid nonlinear dynamical system with faster dynamics compared to the internal dynamics of the dissolved oxygen in a biological reactor. It is a common approach to...

PublikacjaCurrent computer vision systems, especially those using machine learning techniques are data-hungry and frequently only perform well when dealing with patterns they have seen before. As an alternative, cognitive systems have become a focus of attention for applications that involve complex visual scenes, and in which conditions may vary. In theory, cognitive applications uses current machine learning algorithms, such as deep learning,...
