S-thioacyldithiophosphates in the synthesis of thiohydroxamic acids and O-thioacylhydroxylamines
PublicationDitiofosforany tioacylu to trwałe, łatwo osiągalne z kwasów karboksylowych środki tioacylujące. Z powodu ich niskiej reaktywności wobec nukleofili tlenowych i wysokiej wobec nukleofili azotowych znalazły zastosowanie w syntezie kwasów tiohydroksamowych bezpośrednio z hydroksyloamin z niechronioną grupą hydroksylową. W przypadku dużej zawady przestrzennej można otrzymać O-tioacylohydroksyloaminy.

Fatty acids as molecular carriers in cleavable antifungal conjugates
PublicationConjugates composed of C2-18 fatty acid (FA) residues as a molecular carrier and 5-fluorocytosine (5-FC) as an active agent, released upon the action of intracellular esterases on the ester bond between FA and “trimethyl lock” intramolecular linker, demonstrate good in vitro activity against human pathogenic yeasts of Candida spp. The minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) values for the most active conjugates containing caprylic...

Sample preparation procedure using extraction and derivatization of carboxylic acids from aqueous samples by means of deep eutectic solvents for gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric analysis
PublicationThe paper presents a new procedure for the determination of organic acids in a complex aqueous matrixusing ultrasound-assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction followed by injection port derivati-zation and GC–MS analysis. A deep eutectic solvent (choline chloride: 4-methylphenol in a 1:2 mol ratio)was used both as an extracting solvent and as a derivatizing agent to yield ion pairs which were next con-verted to methyl...

Unexpected Z/E isomerism of N-methyl-O-phosphothioyl benzohydroxamic acids, their oxyphilic reactivity and inertness to amines
PublicationThiophosphinoylation of N-methyl p-substituted benzohydroxamic acids using disulfanes (method A) or diphenylphosphinothioyl chloride (method B) provides only one conformer of the respective O-phosphothioyl derivative (Xray and NMR analysis). Undergoing the P-transamidoxylation reaction is an evidence of the reversibility of thiophosphinoylation. Only those products containing strong EWG substituents in the aroyl residue or bulky...

Hybrid analogues of SFTI-1 modified in P1 position by β- and γ-amino acids and N-substituted β-alanines
PublicationA series of compounds containing either non-proteinogenic beta-/gamma-amino acids or N-substituted beta-alanine residues (beta-peptoid units) in P-1 specificity position were synthesized based on the structure of sunflower trypsin inhibitor 1 (SFTI-1). The compounds were synthesized on a solid support; the N-substituted beta-alanines (beta Nhlys and beta Nhphe) were introduced into a peptidomimetic chain via a two-step approach...

The Role of Electron Transfer in the Fragmentation of Phenyl and Cyclohexyl Boronic Acids
PublicationIn this study, novel measurements of negative ion formation in neutral potassium-neutral boronic acid collisions are reported in electron transfer experiments. The fragmentation pattern of phenylboronic acid is comprehensively investigated for a wide range of collision energies, i.e., from 10 to 1000 eV in the laboratory frame, allowing some of the most relevant dissociation channels to be probed. These studies were performed in...

Diamine derivatives of dimerized fatty acids and bio-based polyether polyol as sustainable platforms for the synthesis of non-isocyanate polyurethanes
PublicationA series of environmentally friendly non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPUs) were successfully prepared via the polyaddition reaction of bio-based polyether polyol-based cyclic carbonate with diamine derivative of dimerized fatty acids. The syntheses of NIPUs were realized by the three-step method in the absence of toxic solvents and, importantly, the process of carbonation did not require the use of elevated pressure. The effect...

Hydrodynamic cavitation based advanced oxidation processes: Studies on specific effects of inorganic acids on the degradation effectiveness of organic pollutants
PublicationThe use of cavitation in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) to treat acidic effluents and process water has become a promising trend in the area of environmental protection. The pH value of effluents – often acidified using an inorganic acid, is one of the key parameters of optimization process. However, in the majority of cases the effect of kind of inorganic acid on the effectiveness of degradation is not studied. The present...
