Thermal imaging in automatic rodent’s social behaviour analysis
PublicationLaboratory rodent social behaviour analysis is an extremely important task for biological, medical and pharmacological researches. In this work thermal images features that facilitate analysis are presented. Methods to distinguish objects on the basis of thermal distribution are tested. Actions of grooming or biting one rodent by another - important social behaviour incidents - are clearly visible...

On the broadband behaviour of planar elliptical dipole-modal approach
PublicationBroadband behavior of planar elliptical dipole structure is analyzed using Illuminatin Modes (IM) approach. The current on patch has been expanded in series of eigenfunctions in form of Mathieu radial and angular functions. The frequency behavior of current distributions and related powers have been discussed to explain the mechanism of broadband operation of the dipole. Different behavior of radiations patterns in wide frequency...

Consumer social network brand identification and personal branding. How do social network users choose among brand sites?
PublicationBrands’ social networking sites (fan pages) are increasingly attracting the attention of scientists and managers intrigued by their potential application for brand value creation. The aim of this research is to understand better how users choose among social networking sites as an act of brand identification. The study presents a new model whose structure of identification drivers for social networking brand sites varies for customer...

Typologia aktywności online konsumenta w zakresie marki

Detection methods of dynamic spammer's behavior

Compulsive sexual behavior and dysregulation of emotion
PublicationIntroduction Dysregulation of emotion (DE) is commonly seen in individuals suffering from compulsive sexual behavior (CSB), as well as represents a crucial element of its common comorbidities like mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Aim To investigate the links between CSB and DE. Methods A review of pertinent literature on CSB and DE was performed using EBSCO, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases. Main Outcome Measure...

Water Behavior Near the Lipid Bilayer
PublicationIn this chapter, we focus on the dynamics of water molecules situated in the vicinity of a phospholipid bilayer. Using a molecular dynamics simulation method, we studied interactions between water and the bilayer and tracked trajectories of the water molecules. Based on the hypothesis that molecules trapped inside the bilayer make different motions than the ones which are either attached to the surface or move freely in the water...

Analysis of The Behavior of Foundations of Historical Buildings
PublicationThe article is devoted to the analysis of the behavior of the foundations of historic buildings. Some basic aspects of foundation engineering are discussed, with an emphasis placed on its development, applied techniques, and materials. Several different approaches and methods for the analysis of foundations of historical buildings are presented. A particular analysis has been focused on an example of a typical stone foundation...

Energy Security of Polish Consumers in 2004-2021
Open Research DataEnergy security is one of the most important components of economic security. It is influenced not only by access to energy sources and the economic situation of the state and the individual consumer. In the years 2004–2021, energy security of the individual consumer in the economic dimension significantly improved. This was due to several factors:1....

The on-line consumers’ choice of parcels collecting ways
Open Research DataSmall pilot study conducted on an available sample of academic teachers and students from the University of Gdańsk (UG). The survey was aimed only at people who declared that they shop online. As e-commerce reports show that the main group of people buying online are those with a higher education, studying a group of university employees and students...

Advancing the evidence base for public policies impacting on dietary behaviour, physical activity and sedentary behaviour in Europe: The Policy Evaluation Network promoting a multidisciplinary approach
PublicationNon-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the leading cause of global mortality. As the social and economic costs of NCDs have escalated, action is needed to tackle important causes of many NCD’s: low physical activity levels and unhealthy dietary behaviours. As these behaviours are driven by upstream factors, successful policy interventions are required that encourage healthy dietary behaviours, improve physical activity levels and...

Influence of stress on oxidation behaviour of carbon steel studded coil.
PublicationAnalizowano awarię wężownicy kołkowej ze stali węglowej pracującej przez 10 lat w środowisku przegrzanej pary w temperaturze 290ºC i ciśnieniu 0,67 MPa. Obserwacje mikroskopowe powierzchni i przekroju rury ukazały drobne pęknięcia w ściance wynikające z procesu selektywnego utleniania. Zastosowano metodę elementów skończonych w celu ustalenia zależności postępu korozji od ciśnienia i obciążenia cieplnego.

Enforsing cooperative behaviour in multi wireless ad-hoc network.

Hydrogen direct reduction and reoxidation behaviour of high-grade pellets
PublicationHigh grade pellets with basicity index close to 0.5 were directly reduced in pure hydrogen atmosphere. The reduction experiments were performed in the temperature range 800 e1000 C at the pressure of 8 bar. The pellets internal structure was analysed through micro tomography observations in the unreduced and reduced conditions. After reduction, the pellets showed a variation of porosity up to more than 15% with a remarkable change...

Topological Behaviour of Solutions of Vibro-Impact Systems in the Neighborhood of Grazing
PublicationThe grazing bifurcation is considered for the Newtonian model of vibro-impact systems. A brief review on the conditions, sufficient for the existence of a grazing family of periodic solutions, is given. The properties of these periodic solutions are discussed. A plenty of results on the topological structure of attractors of vibro-impact systems is known. However, since the considered system is strongly nonlinear, these attractors...
