Numerical methods for the assessment of bridge safety barriers
PublikacjaThe paper presents a numerical study of the bus crash test for bridge safety barriers. The analysis is conducted with the use of explicit code LS-DYNA. The problem of hourglass effect in shell elements is discussed. Size-Reduction-Oriented Design of Compact CPW-Fed UWB Monopole Antenna
PublikacjaA structure and design optimization of compact CPW-fed UWB monopole antenna is presented. Explicit size reduction through constrained numerical optimization of all relevant geometry parameters of the structure leads to a very small footprint of only 321 mm2. Curb-to-Barrier Face Distance Variation an a TB51 Bridge Barrier Crash Test Simulation
PublikacjaThis paper addresses the problem of road safety regarding barrier placement as relative to the curb. A short summary of existing regulations is presented. Numerical simulations using the explicit finite element system Ls- Dyna are shown. In the analysis, variable distance between the barrier and the curb is assumed. The obtained result reveals that the distance has little impact on the working width of the barrier.

Modification of current-voltage characteristics of planar organic systems by nm-thick interlayer
PublikacjaEffect of nm-thick interlayer of copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) or perylene dye (MePTCDI) on current-voltage characteristics of planar organic systems is discussed in the work. The MePTCDI layer strongly limits injection of holes from ITO into CuPc, while CuPc limits injection of electrons from ITO into MePTCDI.
