Tuning of the finesse coefficient of optoelectronic devices
PublikacjaOptoelectronic devices attracted considerable attention in many branches of science and technology, which can be attributed to their unique properties. Many of them use optical cavities which parameters can be adopted to specific requirements. This thesis investigates the introduction of diamond structures (nitrogen-doped diamond film, boron-doped diamond film, undoped diamond sheet) to optical cavities to tune their finesse coefficient....

RTS Noise in Optoelectronic Coupled Devices

Tailoring optical constants of few-layer black phosphorus coatings: Spectroscopic ellipsometry approach supported by ab-initio simulation
Publikacja2D black phosphorus (BP) has attracted extensive attention as an anisotropic platform for novel optoelectronic and polarizing optics applications. Insight into the factors that tune the optical and polarizing properties of 2D BP reveals their essential influence on BP-based photonic and optoelectronic devices. In this work, studies of the optical constants of few-layer black phosphorus coatings are studied and discussed, with particular...

Blood equivalent phantom vs whole human blood, a comparative study
PublikacjaPreclinical research of biomedical optoelectronic devices is often performed with the use of blood phantoms — a simpli¯ed physical model of blood. The aim of this study is the comparison and distinction between blood phantoms as well as whole human blood measurements. We show how the use of such phantoms may in°uence the incorrect interpretation of measured signal. On the other hand, we highlight how the use of blood phantoms enables...

A simple model of the trap-assisted recombination with the excitonic Auger mechanism
PublikacjaWe present a simple model of the trap-assisted recombination combined with the excitonic Auger mechanism. It has been shown that only six independent transitions of electrons and holes should be taken into account to describe a combination of the Shockley–Read–Hall (SRH) recombination with this excitonic process. This is in opposition to a well-known model of the SRH mechanism with the free carriers Auger effect via deep states,...

Plasma-Based Deposition and Processing Techniques for Optical Fiber Sensing
PublikacjaPlasma-based techniques are widely applied for well-controlled deposition, etching or surface functionalization of a number of materials. It is difficult to imagine fabrication of novel microelectronic and optoelectronic devices without using plasma-enhanced deposition of thin films, their selective etching or functionalization of their surfaces for subsequent selective binding of chemical or biological molecules. Depending on...

Study of ZrS3-based field-effect transistors toward the understanding of the mechanisms of light-enhanced gas sensing by transition metal trichalcogenides
PublikacjaExtending knowledge of the properties of low-dimensional van der Waals materials, including their reactivity to the ambiance, is important for developing innovative electronic and optoelectronic devices. Transition metal trichalcogenides with tunable optical band gaps and anisotropic conductivity are an emerging class among low- dimensional structures with the possibility of gate tunability and photoreactivity. These properties...

Sano-Tachiya-Noolandi-Hong, Onsager and Braun models vs Monte Carlo simulation of charge photogeneration in organic solids
PublikacjaThe Sano-Tachiya-Noolandi-Hong (STNH), Onsager, and Braun models as well as Monte Carlo (MC) simulations of charge recombination/separation have been applied for the first time to reproduce the results of the electromodulated photoluminescence measurements in vacuum-evaporated films of fluorescent materials commonly used in optoelectronic devices. The values of the electron-hole pair final recombination speed in the monomer emitters:...

Tuning of the Electrochemical Properties of Transparent Fluorine-doped Tin Oxide Electrodes by Microwave Pulsed-plasma Polymerized Allylamine
PublikacjaWe report here the dry, one-step, and low-temperature modification of FTO surfaces using pulsed plasma polymerization of allylamine (PPAAm). PPAAm/FTO surfaces were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, spectroscopic ellipsometry, and contact angles to understand the morphological, structural, and optical properties. FTO were coated with a very thin layer of adherent cross-linked, pinhole-, and additive-free allylamine...
