Stability studies of selected phenoxyacid herbicides in water samples and detrmination of their transformation products
PublikacjaZbadano procesy przemian fenoksykwasów (takich jak: 2,4-D, MCPA, mekoprop, dichlorprop) w różnych roztworach wodnych. Sprawdzono wpływ parametrów (światło, temperatura oraz czas przechowywania próbki) na stabilność fenoksykwasów. Oznaczeń końcowych dokonano przy użyciu techniki chromatografii cieczowej sprzężonej ze spektrometrem mas.

Acceleration of the discrete Green's function computations
PublikacjaResults of the acceleration of the 3-D discrete Green's function (DGF) computations on the multicore processor are presented. The code was developed in the multiple precision arithmetic with use of the OpenMP parallel programming interface. As a result, the speedup factor of three orders of magnitude compared to the previous implementation was obtained thus applicability of the DGF in FDTD simulations was significantly improved.

A Measurable Selector in Kadison’s Carpenter’s Theorem
PublikacjaWe show the existence of a measurable selector in Carpenter’s Theorem due to Kadison. This solves a problem posed by Jasper and the first author in an earlier work. As an application we obtain a characterization of all possible spectral functions of shift-invariant subspaces of L 2 (R d ) and Carpenter’s Theorem for type I ∞ von Neumann algebras.

Biodegradability of modified emulsifiers - esters of polyols and fatty acids
PublikacjaBadano podatność na biodegradację wybranych emulgatorów estrów polioli i kwasów tłuszczowych przy użyciu testu zamkniętej butelki (OECD 301 D). Stwierdzono, że badane emulgatory nie mogą zostać uznane za łatwo ulegające biodegradacji. Najwyższy poziom rozkładu (57,3%) osiągnął emulgator C14Gna, najniższy (29,8%) AEGNa.

On the use of a charge balancing method for low energy measurements
PublikacjaThe paper presents the method for the estimation of the energy consumption of the low-power microcontroller-based devices. Due to high dynamics of the changes of the supply current of the tested devices during the operational cycle, the consumed energy estimation is not easy. In order to avoid disadvantages of known methods, the charge balancing method was employed similarly like in some types of A/D converters.

Experimental study on shear localization in granular materials within combined strain and stress field
PublikacjaLokalizacja odkształceń stycznych w materiałach granulowanych była przedmiotem badań doświadczalnych podczas przemieszczania się sztywnej ścianki. Wykonano pomiary przemieszczeń stosując metodę korelacji obrazów cyfrowych. Natomiast pomiary średnich naprężeń wykonano stosując metodę foto-sprężystości. Zastosowano jako materiał granulowany piasek oraz szklane kulki.
