Burialscapes of Rab Island (North East Adriatic): The Role of Sepulchral Evidence in the Reconstruction of Roman and Late Antique Rural Settlement Pattern
PublicationOn the bases of archaeological and documentary data an overview of the burial evidence of Roman and late Antique date on the island of Rab (North East Adriatic, Croatia) is brought forth, spatially analysed and interpreted within the so-far defined rural settlement pattern. While aiding in the definition of burial practices and their diachronic changes, data derived from such evidence and interpreted from a social perspective,...

Investigation of some magnetospheric phenomena of geomagnetic storm on March 17, 2013 based on observations from GNSS and NOAA-15 satellite
PublicationSubstantial variations of magnetospheric electron fluxes of low and intermediate energies at an altitude of ~ 800 km at different phases of the geomagnetic storm were investigated. The ionosphere and plasmasphere response was analyzed using TEC variation maps over the Central Europe. A concept of the connection of TEC variations above the Central Europe and spatially inhomogeneous fluxes of energetic particles is being proposed.

Unravelling the role of electron–hole pair spin in exciton dissociation in squaraine-based organic solar cells by magneto-photocurrent measurements
PublicationA high absorption coefficient and narrow absorption bands in squaraine (SQ) dyes have resulted in rapidly growing interest in them as a donor material in photovoltaic devices. The exciton dissociation process in organic systems proceeds via a multistep mechanism where the electron–hole pairs (charge transfer states) involved in the current generation process determine the recombination losses and subsequently limit the overall...

Some Problems of Heat and Power Distributed Generation Control = Wybrane zagadnienia sterowania automatycznego rozproszonego wytwarzania energii elektrycznej i ciepła
PublicationRozproszone wytwarzanie energii elektrycznej wnosi pewne problemy z punktu widzenia współpracy z zewnętrznym systemem elektroenergetycznym. Wynikają one z koniecznością zapewnienia należytej jakości energii elektrycznej (częstotliwości i napięcia). Są one tym większe im większą moc ma tego rodzaju źródło energii elektrycznej oraz im jest większa zmienność jego mocy. Z tego powodu największe trudności regulacyjne sprawiają farmy...

Sense of safety and opinions about COVID-19 vaccinations in Polish school teachers: The role of conspiracy theories belief and fear of COVID-19
PublicationThe co-occurrence of COVID-19 conspiracy theories (CCT) and fear of the coronavirus (FCV) can be linked to how safe people feel and how much they endorse vaccinations. School teachers were one of the vaccination priority groups in Poland. We conducted three cross-sectional studies (N1 = 1006; N2 = 1689; N3 = 627) to find out the potential interactive effects of CCT belief and FCV in predicting sense of safety (SoS; Studies 1-3),...
