PublicationW pracy pokazano, jak dzięki odpowiedniemu wyborowi długości odcinka realizacji (obserwacji) dyskretnego stacjonarnego procesu stochastycznego można istotnie poprawić dokładność estymacji parametrów sinusoid w nim zawartych. Wybór ten oparto o nowy, tu zdefiniowany parametr nazwany indeksem widmowej koncentracji energii periodogramu. Rozważania zilustrowano wynikami eksperymentu numerycznego.
