Robust Monitoring of Water Quality in Drinking Water Distribution System
PublikacjaThe paper develops a novel open loop set bounded observer for robust estimation of water quality in DWDS based on the advanced nonlinear quality dynamics model including disinfections by-products (DBPs). The observer utilises a cooperativeness of the quality dynamics model and is computationally efficient, hence applicable to on-line quality monitoring. The simulation results illustrate its good and sustainable performance.

PublikacjaPrzedstawiony został system pomiaru szybkości korozji pracujący w przemysłowej instalacji wodnej. Mierzone wartości szybkości korozji przesyłane są za pomocą telefonii komórkowej (GPRS) co umożliwia obserwację wyników on-line. Zastosowanie tego rodzaju systemu pozwala na wykonywanie pomiarów korozyjnych umożliwiających kontrolę instalacji w sposób ciągły.

Homoclinic orbits for a class of singular second order Hamiltonian systems in ℝ3
PublikacjaWe consider a conservative second order Hamiltonian system \ddot{q}+ ∇V(q)=0 in R3 with a potential V having a global maximum at the origin and a line l ∩ {0} = ∅ as a set of singular points. Under a certain compactness condition on V at infinity and a strong force condition at singular points we study, by the use of variational methods and geometrical arguments, the existence of homoclinic solutions of the system.
