Emission enhancement of Eu(III) and/or Tb(III) ions entrapped in silica xerogels with ZnO nanoparticles by energy transfer
PublikacjaW pracy przedstawiono rezultaty wpływu domieszkowania nanocząsteczkami ZnO kserożeli krzemianowych zawierających jony Eu(III)i/lub Tb(III). Wzmocnienie emisji w kserożelach zawierających Tb(III) następowało na skutek wymiany energii między jonami Tb i nanocząsteczkami ZnO. Wzmocnienia takiego nie zaobserwowano w przypadku jonów Eu. Zaobserwowano również kwantowy efekt rozmiaru w przerwie energetycznej ZnO.

Thermal energy storage using stearic acid as PCM material
PublikacjaThis work presents an experimental study of thermal energy storage by use of PCM. The aim of the study was to establish the influence of different inlet temperature of heat transfer fluid (HTF) and different Reynolds number of HTF on intensity of charging process. The PCM used in this study was stearic acid and water was used as HTF. A copper helical coil mounted in cylindrical container served as a heat transfer surface.

PublikacjaBadano metodą stałego wolnego rozciągania w wodzie morskiej wpływ czasu i temperatury nawrotu oraz powtórnego starzenia na czas do zniszczenia, energię zniszczenia, przewężenie i odkształcenie. Stwierdzono ogólnie niewielki wpływ, przy czym wzrostowi odporności na korozję naprężeniową towarzyszył spadek właściwości mechanicznych. Obserwowane zmiany właściwości przypisano zmianom struktury dyslokacyjnej i mikrostruktury.

Application of nanofluids in selected thermal technologies
PublikacjaSome peculiarities regarding convective heat transfer of nanofluids are presented. Particularly, results of the fundamental research concerning pool boiling and single phase convection of nanofluids as well as data obtained for selected heat exchangers operated with nanofluids are discussed.
