Localization in wireless sensor networks using switched parasitic antennas
PublikacjaA switched parasitic monopole antenna for 2.4 GHz ISM applications is design and investigated in this paper. One of the most promising applications for such switched-beam antennas is localization in wireless sensor networks (WSN). It is demonstrated that the use of this antenna improves accuracy of localization algorithms and allows for reduction of the number of reference nodes in localization system.

The Methods for RTS Noise Identification
PublikacjaIn the paper authors present two methods, which allows to identify the RTS noise in noise signal of semiconductor devices. The first one was elaborated to identify the RTS noise and also to estimate the number of its levels. The second one can be used to estimate all of the parameters of Gaussian and non-Gaussian components in the noise signal in a frequency domain.

Influence of nanoparticle concentration on convective heat transfer of water-Al2O3 nanofluids inside horizontal tubes
PublikacjaThis work presents preliminary results of the experimental investigation of the forced convection heat transfer of water-Al2O3 nanofluids inside stainless steel tube with 8 mm internal diameter and 2000 mm length. Nanoparticles were tested at the concentrations of 0.01%, 0.1%, 1% and 5% by weight and the Reynolds number range encompasses laminar as well as turbulent flows.
