PublicationPrzeanalizowano jakość wody w wybranych basenach kąpielowych. Dezynfekcja za pomocą podchlorynu sodu okazała się metodą skuteczną względem bakterii grupy coli, ale losowo pojawiały się w nadmiarze gronkowce koagulazo-dodatnie. Wyższe stężenie podchlorynu sodu likwidowało zagrożenie.

PublicationFolie żelatynowe z dodatkiem srebra jonowego powodowały redukcję komórek Escherichia coli i Staphylococcus aureus o 90% pod powierzchnią folii. Nie obserwowano natomiast strefy zahamowania wzrostu dookoła krążków folii. PublicationCelem pracy było określenie wrażliwości gramujemnych i gramdodatnich bakterii na działanie ciśnienia 193MPa w temp. -20°C w obecności lizozymu lub nizyny. Stwierdzono, że połączone działanie ciśnienia i badanych substancji przeciwdrobnoustrojowych na zawiesiny bakterii Escherichia coli i Staphylococcus aureus powodowało większy stopień inaktywacji komórek niż suma efektów wywieranych przez pojedyncze czynniki.

PublicationKomórki rekombinantowej Escherichia coli transformowane genem beta-galaktozydazy z Pyrococcus woesei wykorzystano jako biokatalizator syntezy galaktozylofruktozy. Największą aktywność syntezy wymienionego prebiotyku (7,6 g/L x godz)uzyskano w 80C przy pH 5,4, stosując jako substrat roztwór zawierający 10% laktozy i 20% fruktozy. Aktywność transgalaktozylacji nie ulegała istotnym zmianom podczas sześciu kolejnych szarż produkcyjnych.

PublicationW pracy określono przeżywalność bakterii Escherichia coli i Staphylococcus aureus oraz naturalnej mikroflory soku jabłkowego i rozdrobnionego mięsa świńskiego po działaniu ciśnienia 193 MPa w temp. -20 C w obecności chitozanu. Stwierdzono, że traktowanie mikroorganizmów ciśnieniem w obecności chitozanu pozwala na przedłużenie trwałości badanych produktów przechowywanych w temperaturze chłodniczej o około 8-10 dni.

Cloning of the thermostable alpha-amylase gene from Pyrococcus woesei in Escherichia coli.
PublicationGen kodujący alfa-amylazę z Pyrococcus woesei klonowano do plazmidów pET21d(+)lub pYTB2, którymi transformowano komórki Escherichia coli. Otrzymana rekombinantowa alfa amylaza wykazuje maksymalną aktywność przy pH 5.6 w temperaturze 95 stC i przejawia około 24 % początkowej aktywności nawet po 2 godz. inkubacji w 120 stC. Duża termostabilność otrzymanego preparatu świadczy o jego przydatności do enzymatycznego upłynniania skrobi.
