Evaluation of Immobilization of Selected Peat-Isolated Yeast Strains of the Species Candida albicans and Candida subhashii on the Surface of Artificial Support Materials Used for Biotrickling Filtration
PublicationThe paper describes the process of n-butanol abatement by unicellular fungi, able to deplete n-butanol content in gas, by using n-butanol as source of carbon. Isolated and identified fungi species Candida albicans and Candida subhashii were subjected to a viability process via assimilation of carbon from hydrophilic and hydrophobic compounds. The isolates, which exhibited the ability to assimilate carbon, were immobilized on four...

Application of shifted Chebyshev polynomial-based Rayleigh–Ritz method and Navier’s technique for vibration analysis of a functionally graded porous beam embedded in Kerr foundation
PublicationPresent study is dealt with the applicability of shifted Chebyshev polynomial based Rayleigh-Ritz method and Navier’s technique on free vibration of Functionally Graded (FG) beam with uniformly distributed porosity along the thickness of the beam. The material properties such as Young’s modulus, mass density, and Poisson’s ratio are also considered to vary along the thickness of the FG beam as per the power-law exponent model....

Vibration and buckling characteristics of nonlocal beam placed in a magnetic field embedded in Winkler–Pasternak elastic foundation using a new refined beam theory: an analytical approach
PublicationIn this article, a new refined beam theory, namely one variable first-order shear deformation theory, has been employed to study the vibration and buckling characteristics of nonlocal beam. The beam is exposed to an axial magnetic field and embedded in Winkler–Pasternak foundation. The von Kármán hypothesis along with Hamilton’s principle has been implemented to derive the governing equations for both the vibration and buckling...

The CON−H…+NH2 Blue-Shifting H-Bond Stabilizing Effect on Z Secondary Amides and Cyclic System Conformational Rearrangement through an Alkylamine-Chain Migration Pathway
PublicationThe paper is focusing on the amide linkage exceptional properties and usage of chemistry (conformational rearrangement, geometrical stereoisomers, spectroscopic blue shift phenomenon, protonation and deprotonation reactions, synthetic scope, and mechanistic implications). Hydrogen-bond-stabilized acylation reactions of a diamine with thioamides or nitriles reveal how substituents influence both the outcome of stereoselectivity...

Vibration signals collected for concrete beams with GFRP reinforcement subjected to elevated temperatures (120C-240C)
Open Research DataThe dataset contains the time domain signals obtained during dynamic tests of concrete beams reinforced with GFRP bars. The vibration were induced with the use of modal hammer, while the signals were collected by the accelerometers attached at the beam surface. The signals were captured before and after subjecting the concrete beams to elevated temperatures.

Implementation of Hermite-Ritz method and Navier’s Technique for Vibration of Functionally Graded Porous Nanobeam Embedded in Winkler-Pasternak Elastic Foundation Using bi-Helmholtz type of nonlocal elasticity
PublicationPresent study is devoted to investigating the vibration characteristics of Functionally Graded (FG) porous nanobeam embedded in an elastic substrate of Winkler-Pasternak type. Classical beam theory (CBT) or Euler-Bernoulli beam theory (EBT) has been incorporated to address the displacement of the FG nanobeam. Bi-Helmholtz type of nonlocal elasticity is being used to capture the small scale effect of the FG nanobeam. Further, the...

Wpływ warunków ciśnieniowej filtracji na przebieg biologicznego usuwania azotu amonowego z wody w procesie nitryfikacji = Effect of pressure filtration conditions on nitrification process used for ammonia nitrogen removal from water

Workflow patterns applicable to virtual knowledge-based organizations
PublicationWorkflow is a term specifying how to automate a business process, in whole or part during which documents, information or tasks are passed from one participant to another for action, according to a set of procedural rules. Workflow is therefore directly applicable in virtual knowledge-based organizations, where information is exchanged via electronic documents. In the literature, is presented a complete list of workflow control-flow...
