CENTRAL-FORCE DECOMPOSITION OF THE TERSOFF POTENTIAL
PublicationCentral forces play important role in the analysis of results obtained with particle simulation methods, since they allow evaluating stress fields. In this work we derive expressions for a central-force decompositon of the Tersoff potential, which is often used to describe interatomic interactions in covalently bonded materials. We simplify the obtained expressions and discuss their properties.

PublicationThis paper presents literature on theoretical and practical aspects of gas production from shale using carbon dioxide fracturing. Development of technical and environmental aspects of carbon dioxide fracturing technologies is also considered. Patents applicable to carbon dioxide fracturing are reviewed. There were also conducted researches to evaluate possibility of carbon dioxide sequestration in shale gas reservoirs.

High temperature corrosion evaluation and lifetime prediction of porous Fe22Cr stainless steel in air in temperature range 700–900 °C
PublicationThis work describes a high temperature corrosion kinetics study of ~30% porous Fe22Cr alloys. The surface area of the alloy (~0.02 m2 g-1) has been determined by tomographic microscopy. The weight gain of the alloys was studied by isothermal thermogravimetry in the air for 100 hours at 700 - 900 °C.
