Variational principles for bound states of Schrödinger and Dirac equations allowing the use of discontinuous trial functions
PublikacjaWe present systematic constructions of variational principles for energies of bound states of the Schroedinger and Dirac equations. The principles allow the use of discontinuous trial functions. The method employed is based on a generalized Lagrange procedure. Relationships between our variational principles and those available in the literature are established.

Event driven MPC for networked control systems
PublikacjaBecause of variable delays and stochastic data packets loss networked control systems require suitable algorithms to ensure stability of the control system and guarantee desired control performance. This paper presents the idea of an event driven approach with MPC controller. In opposition to network compensation, where standard regulators are used, the presented solution integrates network with plant. A MPC based controller is...

Equivalent standard manoeuvres for pod-driven ships
PublikacjaProcedures for carrying out the manoeuvring tests presented in International Maritime Organisation (IMO) resolution MSC.137(76) are based on the capabilities of ships with conventional steering-propulsion systems. Therefore they do not correspond to ships with other steering-propulsion devices, like pod drives. IMO is aware of this shortcoming and for ships with non-conventional steering and propulsion system may permit the use...
