PublicationThe article presents a continuation of research carried out to determine the effect of input parameters (changes in engine structure parameters) on selected output parameters (diagnostic measures), based on quickly changing exhaust gas temperature. A method of determining the simultaneous influence of two input factors (the structure parameter and the engine load) on one output factor was presented, as well as an evaluation...

On the possible increasing of efficiency of ship power plant with the system combined of marine diesel engine, gas turbine and steam turbine in case of main engine cooperation with the gas turbine fed in parallel and the steam turbine
PublicationW pracy przedstawiono koncepcję układu kombinowanego okrętowego dużej mocy złożonego z wiodącego silnika głównego spalinowego silnika tłokowego i skojarzonych z nim turbiny gazowej mocy i układu turbiny parowej, wykorzystujących energię zawartą w spalinach wylotowych głównego silnika spalinowego. Rozpatrzono wariant układu kombinowanego, w którym główny jest silnik tłokowy skojarzony z turbiną gazową mocy i układem turbiny parowej,...

On the possible increasing of efficiency of ship power plant with the system combined of marine diesel engine, gas turbine and steam turbine in case of main engine cooperation with the gas turbine fed in series and the steam turbine
PublicationW pracy przedstawiono koncepcję układu kombinowanego okrętowego dużej mocy złożonego z wiodącego silnika głównego silnika spalinowego tłokowego oraz skojarzonych z nim turbiny gazowej mocy i układu turbiny parowej, wykorzystujących energię zawartą w spalinach wylotowych silnika spalinowego. Rozpatrywano wariant układu kombinowanego, którym turbina mocy jest zasilana szeregowo spalinami wylotowymi. Podano algorytm i obliczenia...

Exergy analysis of a negative CO2 emission gas power plant based on water oxy-combustion of syngas from sewage sludge gasification and CCS
PublicationA power cycle with water-injected oxy-combustion (water cycle) is investigated by exergy analysis. It is fueled with syngas (aka. producer gas) from gasification of sewage sludge. The cycle is equipped with a spray-ejector condenser (SEC). CO2 is separated and compressed for transportation and storage. The net delivered electric power is 31% of the fuel exergy. The task efficiency is 39% when the flue gas bleed to gasification...

Gas corrosion influence on the exhaust valve face of the marine engine = Wpływ korozji gazowej na stan przylgni zaworów wylotowych silnika okrętowego
PublicationIstotnym czynnikiem wpływającym na poprawność funkcjonowania silnika okrętowego jest szczelność zaworów. Szczególnie w odniesieniu do zaworów wylotowych brak szczelności prowadzi do pogorszenie warunków spalania a przede wszystkim do przyspieszonego zniszczenia zawory poprzez uszkodzenia przylgni.Przylgnia grzybka zaworowego współpracuje z przylgnią gniazda zaworowego tworząc cykliczny szczelny kontakt stykowy w trakcie pracy silnika....

The resistance investigation of the marine engine exchaust valve using the modelling chamber = Badania odporności zaworów wylotowych silnika okrętowego w komorze modelowej
PublicationWe współczesnej technice szereg części urządzeń i instalacji pracuje w długich okresach czasu i w złożonych warunkach obciążenia mechanicznego, termicznego i chemicznego. Próby wprowadzenia nowych rozwiązań technicznych muszą być poprzedzone szczegółowymi badaniami, które stwierdzą przydatność do konkretnych zastosowań. Problemem występującym w przemyśle okrętowym, a dokładniej w procesie eksploatacji silników okrętowych jest trwałość...

Rozpoznawanie uszkodzeń w części przepływowej okrętowego turbinowego silnika spalinowego na podstawie wyników badania endoskopowego = Failures' recognising within the passages of a marine gas turbine engine on the basis of results of endoscopic investigation
PublicationThe paper deals with diagnostic issues concerning endoscopic examinations of marine gas turbine engines. There will be presented selected information about failures within the passages and accessible endoscopic methods and means enabling their detection. The author focuses on the endoscopic techniques and widely presents the possibilities of this quickly developed diagnostic method. There will be also presented representative results...
