Zastosowanie metod NMR i DSC do badania mieszanek zawierających olej palmowy

Analysis of abrasive particle trajectories during single-sided lapping process with driven conditioning ring
PublicationIn this paper new kinematics systems were studied for a single lapping process. In order to ensure the constant profile wear of the tool a standard kinematic system can be changed. Lapping is carried out by applying loose abrasive grains between two surfaces and causes a relative motion between them. The result is a finish of multi-directional lay. During process, the mechanism of surface formation are decisively affected by a...

Noncentrosymmetric superconductor with a bulk three-dimensional Dirac cone gapped by strong spin-orbit coupling
PublicationThe layered, noncentrosymmetric heavy element PbTaSe2 is found to be superconducting. We report its electronic properties accompanied by electronic-structure calculations. Specific heat, electrical resistivity, and magnetic-susceptibility measurements indicate that PbTaSe2 is a moderately coupled, type-IIBCSsuperconductor (Tc = 3.72 K, Ginzburg–Landau parameter κ = 17) with an electron-phonon coupling constant of λep = 0.74. Electronic-structure...

Playing the Sprint Retrospective: A Replication Study
PublicationThe Sprint Retrospective is a vehicle for continuous process improvement. Even though it is a well established agile practice, running effective retrospective meetings is challenging. There have been a lot of identified problems that commonly occur during these meetings. To address them, Przybyłek & Kotecka [20] successfully revitalized retrospective meetings by adopting collaborative games, which represent a powerful tool in improving...

Fast Approximate String Search for Wikification
PublicationThe paper presents a novel method for fast approximate string search based on neural distance metrics embeddings. Our research is focused primarily on applying the proposed method for entity retrieval in the Wikification process, which is similar to edit distance-based similarity search on the typical dictionary. The proposed method has been compared with symmetric delete spelling correction algorithm and proven to be more efficient...

A DSC and NMR-Relaxation study of the molecular mobility of water protons interacting with chemically modified starches
PublicationChanges in the mobility of water protons in the chemically modified starches (CMS)–water system are studied by differential scanning calorimetry and NMR relaxation. The amounts of unfrozen water at negative temperatures and additional (after gelation) unfrozen for CMS are lower than those for native starch. The proton spin–spin relaxation time T2 for CMS samples, conventionally attributed to the water fraction in starch granules,...

Molecular mobility of water protons under interaction with chemically modified starches. DSC and HMR-relaxation investigations
PublicationThe change of water protons mobility in the system chemically modified starches – water were investigated by DSC and NMR-relaxation methods. The amount of unfrozen water at subzero temperature as well as additional unfrozen water which appears after gelatinization have lower values for chemically modified starches in comparison with the native starch. The proton spin-spin relaxation time Т2 for chemically modified starch samples,...

Buckling of frame braced by linear elastic springs
PublicationIn the design codes and specifications, simplifed formulae or diagrams are given for determining the buckling lengths of frame columns based on the ruling criterion of considering frames as sway or non sway. Due to the fact that, the code formulae utilize onlylocal stifness distributions, these formulae may yield in certain cases rather erroneous results. In most code formulas a case of weakly braced frames is usually not considered.In...

An experimental study of self-sensing concrete enhanced with multi-wall carbon nanotubes in wedge splitting test and DIC
PublicationConcrete is the worldwide most utilized construction material because of its very good performance, forming ability, long-term durability, and low costs. Concrete is a brittle material prone to cracking. Extensive cracking may impact durability and performance over time considerably. The addition of a small amount of carbon nanotubes (CNT) increases the concrete’s overall electrical conductivity, enabling internal structure...

Virtual spring damper method for nonholonomic robotic swarm self-organization and leader following
PublicationIn this paper, we demonstrate a method for self-organization and leader following of nonholonomic robotic swarm based on spring damper mesh. By self-organization of swarm robots we mean the emergence of order in a swarm as the result of interactions among the single robots. In other words the self-organization of swarm robots mimics some natural behavior of social animals like ants among others. The dynamics of two-wheel robot...

Ocena przydatności filtracji Kalmana do poprawy właściwości szumowych danych uzyskiwanych w badaniach DSC-MRI mózgu

This article presents information on the healthful qualities of eight new oil blends that contain a beneficial proportion of ω6 to ω3 fatty acids (5:1), as well as their degradation during heating at 170 and 200 °C. The fatty acid profile was analyzed by gas chromatography (GC),...
