Determination of pitting corrosion stage of stainless steel by galvanodynamic impedance spectroscopy
PublikacjaThis paper investigates the methodology for differentiation of multistep process of pitting corrosion of AISI 304 stainless steel in the environment of iron (III) chloride. Measurements were performed using Galvanodynamic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (GDEIS). Application of this methodology allowed monitoring of natural corrosion process without external current (IDC = 0A) nor potential perturbation of the system. Applied...

On the correspondence between two- and three-dimensional Eshelby tensors
PublikacjaWe consider both three-dimensional (3D) and two-dimensional (2D) Eshelby tensors known also as energy–momentum tensors or chemical potential tensors, which are introduced within the nonlinear elasticity and the resultant nonlinear shell theory, respectively. We demonstrate that 2D Eshelby tensor is introduced earlier directly using 2D constitutive equations of nonlinear shells and can be derived also using the throughthe-thickness...

Evaluation of pounding effects between reinforced concrete frames subjected to far-field earthquakes in terms of damage index
PublikacjaIn this paper, three different damage indexes were used to detect nonlinear damages in two adjacent Reinforced Concrete (RC) structures considering pounding effects. 2-, 4- and 8-story benchmark RC Moment Resisting Frames (MRFs) were selected for this purpose with 60%, 75%, and 100% of minimum separation distance and also without any in-between separation gap. These structures were analyzed using the incremental dynamic analysis...

Characterization of corrosion in reinforced concrete beams using destructive and non-destructive tests
PublikacjaThe paper presents both non-destructive and destructive experimental tests on steel-reinforced concrete beams subjected to electrochemical corrosion. To examine the condition and behavior of the specimens, destructive tests were carried out, i.e., a three-point bending together with a modulated ultrasonic wave test. In addition, a series of non-destructive experiments were conducted, such as the potential measurement method, low-frequency...

Two complementary approaches for the synthesis and isolation of stable phosphanylphosphaalkenes
PublikacjaPhospha-Wittig (phosphanylphosphinidene titanium(IV) complex) and phospha-Peterson (lithiated diphosphane) reactions were used to obtain phosphanylphosphaalkenes with the general formula XYC=P-PtBu2 (X = alkyl, aryl group or H; Y = alkyl or aryl group). Therefore, two series of reactions with different ketones and aldehydes were performed. An examination revealed that the two methods are complementary. For smaller carbonyl compounds,...
