Próbki o wymiarach 1,7 x 8 X 0,1 cm umieszczano w kompoście naturalnym z oczyszczalni ścieków w Gdyni. Badania po 4-ch miesiącach wykazały 96% ubytku wagi, co oznacza powolniejszą degradację w porównaniu do testów standardowych stosowanych przez firmę Novamont.
