Conducting polymer films for biodegradable metallic cardiovascular stents
PublicationIn recent years, there is increasing interest to create biodegradable metallic cardiovascular stents instead of using their permanent form. The most interesting materials for this purpose are iron and its alloys. However, in order to use it in clinical application, their degradation rate and biological performance need to be optimized. Determination of dryout localization using a five-equation model of annular flow for boiling in minichannels
PublicationDetailed studies have suggested that the critical heat flux in the form of dryout in minichannels occurs when the combined effects of entrainment, deposition, and evaporation of the film make the film flow rate go gradually and smoothly to zero. Most approaches so far used the mass balance equation for the liquid film with appropriate formulations for the rate of deposition and entrainment respectively. It must be acknowledged...

Simple and novel synthesis of 3-(thio)phosphoryl-β-lactams by radical cyclization
PublicationRadical cyclization of phosphono-acetenamides promoted by manganese(III) acetate leads exclusively to the formation of 3-phosphoryl-β-lactams. The thiophosphoryl analogues were also prepared using this method. In particular, the presented protocol does not require the use of noble metals, while comparable methods do.
