Influence of passive house technology on time and cost of construction investment
PublikacjaDue to the changes in the energy standards for housing in Poland there are many concerns. Is the standard required by the regulation achievable and if it is, then at what cost? There are many solutions to construct a building in line with the requirements of passive house technology. They are differentiated by price and time required for implementation. This study is based on the solution proposed by one of Polish companies, offering...

Dedicated scheduling of tasks to minimize mean flow time
PublikacjaThis paper investigates the complexity of scheduling biprocessor tasks on dedicated processors to minimize mean flow time. Since the general problem is strongly NP-hard, we assume some restrictions on task lengths and the structure of associated scheduling graphs. Of particular interest are acyclic graphs. In this way we identify a borderline between NP-hard and polynomially solvable special cases.

Obecnie ponad 80% współczesnej populacji tego silnie zakorzenionego w tradycjach arabskich kraju to imigranci. Do kryzysu 2008 roku rozwój miast odbywał się praktycznie bez ograniczeń finansowych, jednak z rozmachu pojedyńczych budowli wykreowane...

A New Method of Noncausal Identification of Time-varying Systems
PublikacjaThe paper shows that the problem of noncausal identification of a time-varying FIR (finite impulse response) sys- tem can be reformulated, and solved, as a problem of smoothing of the preestimated parameter trajectories. Characteristics of the smoothing filter should be chosen so as to provide the best trade- off between the bias and variance of the resulting estimates. It is shown that optimization of the smoothing operation can...
