The Complexity of Zero-Visibility Cops and Robber
PublikacjaIn this work we deal with the computational complexity aspects of the zero-visibility Cops and Robber game. We provide an algorithm that computes the zero-visibility copnumber of a tree in linear time and show that the corresponding decision problem is NP-complete even for the class of starlike graphs.

Investigation of sensing mechanism of Nasicon electrocatalytic sensors in nitrogen dioxide and ammonia
PublikacjaIn this paper a sensing mechanism of Nasicon electrocatalytic sensor in nitrogen dioxide and ammonia is investigated. Both gases are environmentally hazardous and contain nitrogen atom in the molecule. However, it seems that their sensing mechanism in electrocatalytic sensor could be totally different. Namely, the maximum sensitivity for each gas was obtained at different temperatures. Also, different auxiliary layers are formed...

Investigation of rotational state-changing collisions of C2N− ions with helium
PublikacjaThe cross sections for rotational inelastic collisions between atoms and a molecular anion can be very large, if the anion has a dipole moment. This makes molecular anions very efficient in cooling atomic gases. We address rotational inelastic collisions of Helium atoms with the molecular anion C2N–. Here we present preliminary calculations of the potential energy surface.

Gas selectivity enhancement by sampling-and-hold method in resistive gas sensors
PublikacjaCommercial resistive gas sensors exhibit various sensitivity to numerous gases when working at different elevated temperatures. That effect is due to a change in velocity of adsorption and desorption processes which can be modulated by temperature. Thus, to reach better selectivity of gas detection, we propose to apply a known method (called the sampling-and-hold method) of cooling down the gas sensor in the presence of the investigated...
