Estimation of electrode contact in capacitive ECG measurement
PublikacjaIn the paper a method of electrode’s contact estimation in capacitive electrocardiogram (CECG) is presented. Proposed solution allows estimation of contact quality for each individual electrode. This enables construction of multi-electrode CECG systems, where electrode pairs can be selected on the basis of the individual electrode contact quality.

A Control Theoretical Approach to Spectral Factorization is Unstable
PublikacjaLocal stability analysis of a recently proposed recursive feedback-based approach to spectral factorization is performed. The method is found not to give stability guarantees. Interestingly enough, its global behavior often allows one to obtain reasonable approximations of spectral factorizations if a suitable stopping criterion is employed.

Comparison of properties of the new electro-mechanical model and circumferential model of the inductive-dynamic drive

The model is implemented in two environments: Maxwell for analyzing electrodynamic phenomena including moving of the disc and Ansys which allows for stress analysis on the basis of the volume forces imported from Maxwell. Model of pressure distribution in vortex flow controls
PublikacjaThe paper is devoted to the vortex valve. Existing devices are described by CFD-methods, or by means of simple empirical relations. A rational method of the considered object design is proposed, on the base of the input and dissipation energy balance., what gives a simple algebraic equation. PublikacjaWe developed a simple and efficient method for the synthesis of functionalized unsymmetrical Z-alkenyl disulfanes under mild conditions in moderate to good yields. The designed method is based on the reaction of Z-alkenyl thiotosylates with thiols in the presence of base. The developed method allows the preparation of unsymmetrical Z-alkenyl disulfanes bearing additional hydroxy, carboxy, or amino functionalities.

Multi-core and Multiprocessor Implementation of Numerical Integration in Finite Element Method
PublikacjaThe paper presents techniques for accelerating a numerical integration process which appears in the Finite Element Method. The acceleration is achieved by taking advantages of multi-core and multiprocessor devices. It is shown that using multi-core implementation with OpenMP and a GPU acceleration using CUDA architecture allows one to achieve the speedups by a factor of 5 and 10 on a CPU and GPUs, respectively.
