PublicationSzczepy Klebsiella pneumoniae (EPKP)produkujące beta-laktamazy o rozszerzonym spektrum substratowym (ESBL)stanowią często problem zakażeń na oddziałach noworodkowych. Jednak taki pomiar dla krótkich obserwacji cechuje bardzo mała dokładność. W omawianej metodzie pomiar ten jest poprawiany z użyciem specjalnie dobranego filtru cyfrowego. PublicationKomórki rekombinantowej Escherichia coli transformowane genem beta-galaktozydazy z Pyrococcus woesei wykorzystano jako biokatalizator syntezy galaktozylofruktozy. Największą aktywność syntezy wymienionego prebiotyku (7,6 g/L x godz)uzyskano w 80C przy pH 5,4, stosując jako substrat roztwór zawierający 10% laktozy i 20% fruktozy. Aktywność transgalaktozylacji nie ulegała istotnym zmianom podczas sześciu kolejnych szarż produkcyjnych.

Aktywność enzymu po 5 h inkubacji w 75 C (pH 6.2) prawie nie ulega zmianie a okres połowicznej inaktywacji w 85 C wynosi 2 h. Właściwości te wskazują na przydatność wymienionego enzymu w jednoetapowej hydrolizie skrobi.

Otrzymana rekombinantowa alfa amylaza wykazuje maksymalną aktywność przy pH 5.6 w temperaturze 95 stC i przejawia około 24 % początkowej aktywności nawet po 2 godz. inkubacji w 120 stC. Duża termostabilność otrzymanego preparatu świadczy o jego przydatności do enzymatycznego upłynniania skrobi.
