Kadm w kompleksie jest koordynowany tetraedrycznie przez 2 atomy siarki i dwa atomy azotu. Wszystkie atomy wodoru koordynowanych cząsteczek amoniaku oraz jeden z atomów wodoru grupy metylowej acetonitrylu tworzą wiązania wodorowe, które łączą sąsiadujące cząsteczki kompleksu w łańcuchy.

Jon kadmu(II) znajduje się w centrum bipiramidy o podstawie trójkątnej, utworzonej przez 5 atomów - 2 atomy siarki, 2 atomy tlenu i jeden atom azotu. Między cząsteczkami kompleksu upakowanymi w krysztale nie ma oddziaływań innych niż oddziaływania van der Waalsa.

The Syntheses and Crystal Structures of the First Disiloxane-1,3-dithiol and Its Cadmium Complex.
PublikacjaThe new silicon–sulfur compound: disiloxane-1,3-dithiol was obtained from silicon disulfide and 2,6-diisopropylphenol in a reaction catalyzed by imidazole or 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine (DMAP). Crystal structure of disiloxane–1,3-dithiol reveals a close-to-linear Si–O–Si angle and a mutual trans position of the two hydrosulfido groups. The compound forms a chelating mononuclear complex with cadmium ions.

CdS thin films obtained by thermal treatment of cadmium(II) complexprecursor deposited by MAPLE technique
PublikacjaCienkie warstwy kompleksu [Cd{SSi(O-But)3}(S2CNEt2)]2 zostały osadzone na podłożach Si przy użyciu techniki MAPLE (ablacja laserowa z zamrożoną matrycą). Otrzymanie warstw CdS było możliwe dzięki zastosowaniu obróbki termicznej podłoży z naniesionym prekursorem. PublikacjaThe CdII atom in the title complex, [Cd(C12H27O3SSi)2-(C3H4N2)], is penta-coordinated by two O and two S atoms from the O,S-chelating silanethiolate residue and one pyrazole N atom in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The pyrazole ligand forms an intramolecular N-H---O hydrogen bond.

Isostructural zinc and cadmium silanethiolates with bridging biimidazole co-ligands – Enhanced luminescence of zinc complex
PublikacjaTwo dinuclear complexes of zinc and cadmium with silanethiolate and bridging biimidazole ligands are characterized by X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, UV–Vis and emission spectroscopies. The complexes 1 (Zn) and 2 (Cd) are isostructural but exhibit different electronic structures and different character of frontier HOMO orbitals as indicated by DFT calculations. PublikacjaAnaliza 113Cd NMR dla reakcji bis[bis(tri-tert-butoksysilanotiolanu)kadmu(II)] z 3,5-dimetylopirydyną została przeprowadzona w roztworze benzenu-d6 i toluenu-d8. Otrzymane wyniki wskazują, że w roztworze istnieje równowaga pomiędzy powstającymi mieszanymi kompleksami kadmu z ligandami siarkowymi i azotowymi.
