PublikacjaW referacie uzasadniono potrzebę rozróżniania pojęć "wiarygodność diagnozy" i "trafność diagnozy" przy podejmowaniu decyzji eksploatacyjnych. Wyprowadzono wzór na prawdopodobieństwo sformułowania diagnozy jako miary wiarygodności diagnozy. Do wyprowadzenia tego wzoru zastosowano teorię procesów semimarkowskich oraz wzór Bayesa na prawdopodobieństwo warunkowe.
