Improving the accuracy of subgridding scheme in finite differences method based on Legendre polynomials expansion
PublikacjaIn this article the Legendre polynomials have been used to interpolate the field at the boundary of the meshes of different densities. The numerical verification of the proposed technique has been carried out in frequency domain. It has been shown that the accuracy of the presented method is very high and stable - the error monotonically decreases as a function of the refinement factor.

Modern control strategy of bidirectional DAB converter with consideration of control nonlinearity
PublikacjaThis paper focuses on the control strategy for modern universal bidirectional Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converters for microgrid systems. An analysis of the converter equations was carried out, and typical problems related to the influence of dead time on the system operation were discussed. Influence of mesh density on 2D viscous flutter in a turbomachinery cascade

Comparison of properties of the new electro-mechanical model and circumferential model of the inductive-dynamic drive
PublikacjaThe article presents a new electromechanical model of inductive-dynamic drive. The model is implemented in two environments: Maxwell for analyzing electrodynamic phenomena including moving of the disc and Ansys which allows for stress analysis on the basis of the volume forces imported from Maxwell. Application of multistage treatment wetlands as a buffer for effluent from Anammox treatment for reject water from centrifugation
PublikacjaAccording to the newest knowledge concerning TW technology multistage treatment wetland could be easily applied for ensuring stable and low concentration of biogenic compounds form the effluent of SBR reactor (with nitritation/annamox process) for treatment of digested sludge dewatering in side stream. Case studies of resonance phenomena in high voltage overhead power lines with shunt reactors
PublikacjaMisguided design of the towers of power transmission lines can lead to serious problems such as voltage asymmetry, overvoltages, electric arc extinction difficulties or resonance – in case of double circuit line with shunt reactors. Buckling of braced frames
PublikacjaIn this paper the classical Winter model, developed originally for columns is applied for frame structures and compared with the results of parametric study of frame with bracing. Sensitivity analysis of critical loads of frame due to bracing stiffness is carried out and the threshold bracing stiffness for full bracing is found. In the non-linear statical analysis the forces in bracings are calculated.

Analysis of magnetic field inside thin-layer ferromagnetic objects
PublikacjaResults of the numerical analysis of the magnetic field inside an infinitely long, thin-layer ferromagnetic pipe with and without a barrier were presented in this paper. Two wires with current symmetrically placed on two sides of the pipe are the sources of magnetic field. Simulation of Residence Time Distribution and Mixing in Reactors with Recirculation Using 2D Approach
PublikacjaIn this paper, we propose a 2D approach in order to create a mathematical model for the determination of the residence time distribution for a flow reactor with recirculation. Apart from characterizing the functional residence time distribution, this model can help improve the operation of the reactor at the design stage. The mathematical model was validated by comparison with experiments carried out in a hydraulic laboratory.

Assessment of hydrogenation of deposited metal of P 62 MR covered electrodes
PublikacjaThe determination of diffusible hydrogen content in deposited metal of P 62 MR covered electrodes for manual metal arc welding by mercury method was carried out. The test results indicate that covered electrodes 62 P MR grade generate a mean of 4.02 ml/100g of diffusible hydrogen in deposited metal, which is consistent with H5 class.

Proposition of the steam turbine governor structure modification
PublikacjaThere is considered the steam turbine governor operation during defense and restoration of the power system. It points out weaknesses of currently used governor structures. The new controller is proposed, that takes advantages of those curently used. The new controller allows for more effective control of the turbine in emergency situations, at frequencies much different from the nominal value.
