Rapid design closure of linear microstrip antenna array apertures using response features
PublikacjaA simple yet reliable approach to a rapid design closure of linear antenna array apertures at the electromagnetic (EM)-simulation level is proposed. Our methodology exploits an underlying array factor (AF) model suitably corrected by means of characteristic points (angles and levels) of the radiation pattern of the EM model of the antenna array aperture. This conveniently allows for controlling both the side lobe levels...

Modelling and Simulation of a New Variable Stiffness Holder for Milling of Flexible Details
PublikacjaModern industry expectations in terms of milling operations often demand the milling of the flexible details by using slender ball-end tools. Application of Feed Forward Neural Networks for Modeling of Heat Transfer Coefficient During Flow Condensation for Low and High Values of Saturation Temperatur
PublikacjaMost of the literature models for condensation heat transfer prediction are based on specific experimental parameters and are not general in nature for applications to fluids and non-experimental thermodynamic conditions. Nearly all correlations are created to predict data in normal HVAC conditions below 40°C. High temperature heat pumps operate at much higher parameters. This paper aims to create a general model for the calculation...

Unfortunately, microstrip RA implementations feature narrow bandwidths, and are severely affected by losses. A considerably improved performance can be achieved for RAs involving grounded dielectric layers, which are also easy to manufacture using...

A remark on singular sets of vector bundle morphisms
PublikacjaIf characteristic classes for two vector bundles over the same base space do not coincide, then the bundles are not isomorphic. We give under rather common assumptions a lower bound on the topological dimension of the set of all points in the base over which a morphism between such bundles is not bijective. Moreover, we show that this set is topologically non-trivial.

The E-Cohomological Conley Index, Cup-Lengths and the Arnold Conjecture on T 2n
PublikacjaWe show that the E-cohomological Conley index, that was introduced by the first author recently, has a natural module structure. This yields a new cup-length and a lower bound for the number of critical points of functionals on Hilbert spaces. When applied to the setting of the Arnold conjecture, this paves the way to a short proof on tori, where it was first shown by C. Conley and E. Zehnder in 1983.
