  • On-line P-coloring of graphs

For a given induced hereditary property P, a P-coloring of a graph G is an assignment of one color to each vertex such that the subgraphs induced by each of the color classes have property P. We consider the effectiveness of on-line P-coloring algorithms and give the generalizations and extensions of selected results known for on-line proper coloring algorithms. We prove a linear lower bound for the performance guarantee function...

However, some part of this offal could serve as a source of valuable products, such as fish oil, collagen or gelatin. the aim of the study was to determine the conditions of oil isolation from salmon skins ensuring high yield and quality of the product.

  • Assurance Case Patterns On-line Catalogue

    Publication

    - Year 2017

Assurance case is an evidence-based argument demonstrating that a given property of a system (e.g. safety, security) is assured. Assurance cases are developed for high integrity systems, as in many industry domains such argu-ment is explicitly required by regulations. Despite the fact that each assurance case is unique, several reusable argument patterns have been identified and pub-lished. This paper reports work on development...

  • Quantum privacy witness

    Publication

    - PHYSICAL REVIEW A - Year 2012

While it is usually known that the mean value of a single observable is enough to detect entanglement or its distillability, the counterpart of such an approach in the case of quantum privacy has been missing. Here we develop the concept of a privacy witness, i.e., a single observable that may detect the presence of the secure key even in the case of bound entanglement. Then we develop the notion of secret-key estimation based...

  • Entrepreneurship Vulnerability to Business Cycle. A New Methodology for Identification Pro-cyclical and Counter-cyclical Patterns of Entrepreneurial Activity

    Publication

    - Year 2016

In literature, there is ongoing discussion whether entrepreneurial activity, approximated by, for instance, changes in self-employment, tends to behave pro-cyclically, counter-cyclically or rather is a-cyclical. Thus far, both theoretical and empirical evidence, where various multiple methodological approaches are used, does not provide clear answer to the latter; while widely offered explanations are scattered and lack robustness....

  • Equitable coloring of corona multiproducts of graphs

    Publication

    - Discussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory - Year 2017

We give some results regarding the equitable chromatic number for l-corona product of two graphs: G and H, where G is an equitably 3- or 4-colorable graph and H is an r-partite graph, a cycle or a complete graph. Our proofs lead to polynomial algorithms for equitable coloring of such graph products provided that there is given an equitable coloring of G.

  • An Approximation of the Zero Error Capacity by a Greedy Algorithm.

    Publication

    - Year 2020

We present a greedy algorithm that determines a lower bound on the zero error capacity. The algorithm has many new advantages, e.g., it does not store a whole product graph in a computer memory and it uses the so-called distributions in all dimensions to get a better approximation of the zero error capacity. We also show an additional application of our algorithm.

    - RADIATION PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY - Year 2016

Silica supported silver nanoparticles (Ag°–SiO2 –NCs, NCs=nanocomposites) suspended in aqueous solutions are efficient catalysts for the dimerization of methyl radicals to produce ethane, while bare silica is quite inert towards the interaction with methyl radicals. In the presence of small amounts of ethanol adsorbed on the SiO2 surface, the reaction path with methyl radicals is changed and methane is formed as the major product.
