Flow Boiling in Minigap in the Reversed Two-Phase Thermosiphon Loop
PublicationThe paper presents the results of experimental investigations of a model of a heat exchanger featuring a minigap, which is perceived as an evaporator for an inverted thermosiphon. The system works with a single component test fluid. The tested evaporator generates pumping power in the test loop in a way similar to the mammoth pump. The tests regarded a module of the heat exchanger, consisting of a hot leg and a cold leg with the...

The Relational Benefits and the Quality of Services in Tourism
PublicationIn a very competitive environment, it is highly important to identify the indicators that exert a major influence on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Based on the current relationship marketing concept of relational benefits (Gwinner, Gremler, Bitner, 1998; Hennig-Thurau, Gwinner, Gremler, 2002) and destination quality (Blazquez-Resino, Molina, Esteban-Talaya, 2015), a conceptual model was built. The present paper aims to analyse...

The estrogenicity of wastewater samples.
Open Research DataThe principle of operation of the kit is based on the fact that the tested sample with endocrine activity (containing compounds capable of binding to the human estrogen receptor α, hERα) releases the fluorescently labeled ligand (FluormoneTM ES2) from the receptor-ligand complex, which results in a reduction of the polarization value fluorescence. The...

Zarządzanie terminowością w projektach. Wskaźniki i narzędzia

The energy consumption during the birch tree sap concentration process using the reverse osmosis system
PublicationBirch tree sap was concentrated by mens of the reversed osmosis technique. The energy consumption in a small-scale pilot apparatus was estimated. The threshold value for the water removal above which the specific energy consumption significantly increased was identified. Below the threshold value the reversed osmosis had low energy demand and could be an attractive method for the production of birch tree sap-based beverages.
