Steady magnetohydrodynamic flow in a diverging channel with suction or blowing
PublicationAn analysis is made of steady two-dimensional divergent flow of an electrically conducting incompressible viscous fluid in a channel formed by two non-parallel walls, the flow being caused by a source of fluid volume at the intersection of the walls. The fluid is permeated by a magnetic field produced by an electric current along the line of intersection of the channel walls. The walls are porous and subjected to either suction...

Molecular Targets for Anticandidal Chemotherapy
PublicationA relatively small number of anticandidal chemotherapeutics used in clinical practice is at least in part consequence of a limited number of their molecular targets: ergosterol in the membrane, lanosterol demethylase, b(1!3) glucan synthase, and DNA/RNA biosynthesis. Much more potential novel targets have been revealed by the comparative genomic studies identifying essential genes unique for Candida albicans or resulted from recognition...

On configuration of residue scaling process in pipelined radix-4 MQRNS FFT processor
PublicationResidue scaling is needed in pipelined FFT radix-4 processors based on the Modified Quadratic Residue Number System (MQRNS) at the output of each butterfly. Such processor uses serial connection of radix-4 butterflies. Each butterfly comprises n subunits, one for each modulus of the RNS base and outputs four complex residue numbers. In order to prevent the arithmetic overflow in the succesive stage, every number has to be scaled,...
