Numerical solutions for blood flow in elastic vessels
PublicationWe consider the differential–algebraic system for the blood flow and pressure in the systemic arteries. By the operator splitting method, we transform the system into the hyperbolic one, introduce the bicharacteristics, and perform the time–space nonuniform discretization, obtaining the innovative difference scheme. Our results are illustrated with numerical experiments.

Environmental aspects of coastal earth structures made of soil-ash composites
PublicationThis paper presents an innovative technology of building the coastal dams with the use of soil-ash composites. A natural- scale test stand and results of the performed environmental tests are presented ; they have been compared with standards for purity of soils and waters. Also, an analysis of the obtained results and discussion of trends and anomalies in the observations, are given.

Multi-DBD plasma actuator for flow separation control around NACA 0012 and NACA 0015 airfoil models
PublicationIn this paper application of innovative multi-DBD plasma actuator for flow separation control is presented. The influence of the airflowgenerated by this actuator on the flow around NACA 0012 and NACA 0015 airfoil models was investigated. The results obtained from 2D PIVmeasurements showed that the multi-DBD actuator with floating interelectrode can be attractive for leading and trailing edge separation control.
