Ampacity of power cables exposed to solar radiation – recommendations of standards vs. CFD simulations
PublicationThe aim of the paper is to evaluate the ampacity of a low-voltage single power cable according to: 1) recommendations of the standard IEC 60287, 2) a Computational Fluid Dynamics method, implemented in Ansys software; and comparison of the results obtained for these two cases. Moreover, limitations of recommendations of the above mentioned standard are indicated.

Improving the accuracy of subgridding scheme in finite differences method based on Legendre polynomials expansion
PublicationIn this article the Legendre polynomials have been used to interpolate the field at the boundary of the meshes of different densities. The numerical verification of the proposed technique has been carried out in frequency domain. It has been shown that the accuracy of the presented method is very high and stable - the error monotonically decreases as a function of the refinement factor.

Boron Difluoride Complexes of Carbamoyl Meldrum's Acids
Publication5-[Hydroxy(aryl/alkylamino)methylene]-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4,6-diones react with BF3•Et2O in mild conditions leading to the formation of boron difluoride complexes of carbamoyl Meldrum's acids. Multiple-channel frequency-adaptive active vibration control using SONIC
PublicationSONIC (self-optimizing narrowband interference canceller) is an acronym of a new approach to rejection of sinusoidal disturbances acting at the output of a discretetime stable linear plant with unknown and possibly timevarying dynamics. Intramolecular interactions in crystals of tris(2,6-diisopropylphenoxy)silanethiol and its sodium salts
PublicationHydrolytically stable tris(2,6-diisopropylphenoxy)silanethiol has been obtained and reacted with sodium. Solid state interactions within and between the molecules of tris(2,6-diisopropylphenoxy)silanethiol including S-H---π-interactions between the S-H unit and the π-system of the arene have been analyzed. PublicationThe reactivities of two selected phosphanylphosphaalkenes, Ph2C=P-PtBu2 (1a) and (p-MeO-Ph)2C=P-PtBu2 (1b), toward CuCl, AgCl and (tht)AuCl (tht = tetrahydrothiophene) were investigated.
