New Methods of Short-Circuit Current Limiting and Switching-off
PublikacjaPrzedstawiono wyniki badań symulacyjnych i eksperymentalnych hybrydowych indukcyjno-tyrystorowych ograniczników i wyłączników prądu zwarciowego.

Hybrid inductance-thyristor short-circuit current limiting devices
W chwili wzrostu prądu w gałęzi z urządzeniem ograniczającym ponad tę wartość, do obwodu głównego wtrącona zostaje impedancja kolejno dwóch dławików, ograniczając bezzwłocznie dynamikę i amplitudę prądu zwarciowego....

Renewable Resources for Polyurethanes and Polyurethane Composites: A Review
PublikacjaEach year, more than two million tons of polyurethane is produced in the EU by reacting isocyanates with polyols made from fossil fuel. In addition, there are appreciable quantities of petroleum based functional additives applied in the industry nowadays for both polyols and polyurethane materials. It is therefore of key importance to develop sustainable economically viable polyols with enhanced functionalities, and thereby reducing...

Estimation of Failure Initiation in Laminated Composites by means of Nonlinear Six-Field Shell Theory and FEM
PublikacjaThe monography deals with the problem of failure initiation in thin laminated composites. Known techniques of laminate structures modelling are briefly characterised. Eventually, shell based approach is chosen for the purpose of the description of the composite structures behaviour, as it predicts their deformation and states of stress effectively in a global sense. The nonlinear six parameter shell theory (6p theory) with asymmetric...

Fire-Retardant Flexible Foamed Polyurethane (PU)-Based Composites: Armed and Charmed Ground Tire Rubber (GTR) Particles
PublikacjaInadequate fire resistance of polymers raises questions about their advanced applications. Flexible polyurethane (PU) foams have myriad applications but inherently suffer from very high flammability. Because of the dependency of the ultimate properties (mechanical and damping performance) of PU foams on their cellular structure, reinforcement of PU with additives brings about further concerns. Though they are highly flammable and...
