PublikacjaBiałka SSB są niezbędne do życia każdemu organizmowi. W tej pracy prezentujemy wyniki otrzymania i oczyszczania białek SSB Thermus thermophilus i T. aquaticus. Dotąd były znane białka SSB jedynie o budowie homotetrameru lub heterotrimeru. Białka SSB Thermus thermophilus i T. aquaticus stanowią nową klasę białek SSB - białek homodimerycznych. Ponadto dowiedziono, iż białka te są użyteczne w reakcji PCR.

PublikacjaW tej publikacji prezentujemy zastosowanie białka SSB-podobnego Thermus aquaticus (TaqSSB) w reakcji multiplex PCR w celu identyfikacji markerów ludzkiego Y-STR. Wykorzystanie termostabilnego białka TaqSSB chroni lub redukuje tworzenie przez startery struktur dimerycznych, które powodują hamowanie hybrydyzacji starterów do badanego DNA i redukują ilość starterów dostępnych w reakcji PCR.

PublikacjaA fast and efficient method for the isolation of the C-glucosidated xanthones mangiferin and isomangiferin from the South-African plant Cyclopia genistoides was developed for the first time. Two benzophenone derivatives: 3-C-β-glucosides of maclurin and iriflophenone, were isolated from C. genistoides extracts using semi-preparative. The structures of the compounds were determined by 1D and 2D NMR experiments and/or LC-DAD-ESI–MS.

PublikacjaOpracowano metody otrzymywania czwartorzędowych soli amoniowych, pochodnych rybitolu, zawierających reszty: pirydyny, 2-metylopirydyny, 3-karbamoilopirydyny, 4-(N,N-dimetyloamino)pirydyny, chinoliny oraz dwóch amin alifatycznych trimetyloaminy i trietyloaminy. Związki te powstają w reakcji 1,4-anhydro-2,3-O-izopropylideno-5-O-tozylo-D,L-rybitolu z odpowiednimi zasadami azotowymi.
