Agile Methods In Formation of Metropolis Neighbourhood
PublicationA study of the zone adjoining the metropolis area of Tricity (Poland) was conducted on the basis of analyses of changes in spatial development, outline planning decisions and local plans of spatial development. Localities placed at several dozen kilometres from strongly urbanized areas do not constitute metropolis outskirts. The vicinity of large urban centres is an obstacle to the development of localities as self-sufficient units...

Making agile retrospectives more awesome
PublicationAccording to the textbook [23], Scrum exists only in its entirety, where every component is essential to Scrum’s success. However, in many organizational environments some of the components are omitted or modified in a way that is not aligned with the Scrum guidelines. Usually, such deviations result in missing the full benefits of Scrum [24]. Thereby, a Scrum process should be frequently inspected and any deviations should be...

Influence of intermixing at the Ta/CoFeB interface on spin Hall angle in Ta/CoFeB/MgO heterostructures
PublicationWhen a current is passed through a non-magnetic metal with strong spin-orbit coupling, an orthogonal spin current is generated. This spin current can be used to switch the magnetization of an adjacent ferromagnetic layer or drive its magnetization into continuous precession. The interface, which is not necessarily sharp, and the crystallographic structure of the nonmagnetic metal can both affect the strength of current-induced...

Isolation Number versus Domination Number of Trees
PublicationIf G=(VG,EG) is a graph of order n, we call S⊆VG an isolating set if the graph induced by VG−NG[S] contains no edges. The minimum cardinality of an isolating set of G is called the isolation number of G, and it is denoted by ι(G). It is known that ι(G)≤n3 and the bound is sharp. A subset S⊆VG is called dominating in G if NG[S]=VG. The minimum cardinality of a dominating set of G is the domination number, and it is denoted by γ(G)....

Soft-decision schemes for radar estimation of elevation at low grazing angles
PublicationIn modern radars, the problem of estimating elevation angle at low grazing angles is typically solved using superresolution techniques. These techniques often require one to provide an estimate of the number of waveforms impinging the array, which one can accomplish using model selection techniques. In this paper, we investigate the performance of an alternative approach, based on the Bayesian-like model averaging. The Bayesian...
